Good Evening, my card to share today is for this week's Less is More Challenge - A One Layer Card and Use Inks. I decided to make a frame with an ink pad this week, never tried this before. I placed the largest and next sized octagonal nestie together onto a piece of scrap card, held in place with some tape and and cut them out. I placed the piece of card with the octagonal hole onto my card and then placed the cutout of the smaller one inside the hole. Then I used a bit of old household sponge to ink in between the two pieces to create the frame. I stamped this horse image with Momento Tuxedo Black, used the same for the frame, I am not competely certain but I think it is a Crafter's Companion stamp, but I may be wrong as it is an unmounted one that I have had for ages. I printed the sentiments directly onto the card before trimming and decorating.
Thank you Mandy and Chrissie for this challenge because I have been tearing my hair out trying to come up with a card for my neighbour to give to her husband for their anniversary. He doesn't like anything too fussy and when I found the horse stamp I new this would be the right card for him, as he loves horse racing and is a keen watercolourist, he has painted a lot of horse pictures.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.
