First Ever

Good Afternoon, I haven't got a card to share today, but I do have my First Ever Scrapbook Page.  This week Rainbow Lady's Challenge is Island Paradise.  As I live on an island I thought it would be good to do something with Shetland Pictures, so I decided to make a scrapbook page.  I used Craft Artist for the layout and verse and  printed the main picture of Stuart and Kayla (grandchildren) onto photopaper so that  I could 3d it.  They were here for a holiday in 2009 and we had  glorious weather, so we went to one of many fabulous beaches here in the Northern Isles - St Ninian's Isle.  The picture in the bubble is an image of the same place that I found, courtesy of Google.

I started using pictures of shells, but then remembered that I found a bag in my local craft shop and couple of months back.  I bought them thinking they might come in useful at some point, and they did.

I quite enjoyed creating this piece, and might even look out some other pics of the little ones and have another go.  I hope you like my page and many thanks for visiting

  1. Beryl, this is a beautiful scrapbook page and made special by featuring your grandchildren. Between that sentence and this one, I have googled the Shetland Islands. Wow, Beryl, you aren't anywhere near a craft store, are you? We were in Durness a number of years ago and thought it was pretty remote. But beautiful, as I am sure your islands are.

  5. Well done you - I haven't tried scrapbooking yet.
I did visit the Shetland's once - backin the 70s when I worked for BA Helicopters - but it wasn't beach weather at the time of year I went and most of time was stuck in the office sorting out pay problems. However, I did see the seals from my bedroom window - so have at least one good memory!
