Sunflowers

Hi Folks, decided to put in an appearance again. Today I've had a go at my first challenge since returning from holiday at the beginning of May. I have made a tag for the first time. It's for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week which is Sunflowers. I have had this stamp for ages and have never actually used it apart from playing. I got it from e-bay after seeing it in a rubber stamping book and I don't know which company it came from. I stamped the tag with a brown ink and then coloured in with Inktense Pencils. I have done the bee's wings with the clear Sakura Glitter pen. To finish I attached a piece of green organza ribbon. Sorry it's not a very good pic, couldn't get the light right as the sun is streaming in through the windows, so I kept getting shadows where I didn't want them.
I hope you like my tag and thank you for visiting my blog.

I'm still here

Hi Folks, sorry I have been absent for so long. Although I have been making some cards, it has been hard work and not fun - not sure why - and I never got around to taking any pics. Hopefully, I will be able to keep the momentum going from now on. The card I am sharing today had me completely stumped. It's for a new customer who wanted a card for his Daughter's Passing Out from Police College.
This is what I came up with. I surfed the net for a pic of a policewoman's hat, which I copied and then printed onto photo paper, I dread to think how many times I printed this ****** hat cos I couldn't get the decoupage right - good job it's Tesco's best cheap photo paper lol. I made up the checkerboard paper in PSP and designed the badge in Printmaster. I printed the badge onto White Stardream and was ready with the silver embossing powder as it came out of the printer. It doesn't show very well on the pic, but it worked really well. I used Lapis Stardream and Silk Mirri Silver for the backing card and added three mulberry flowers for a bit of colour. I do hope he likes it, more especially I hope his Daughter will like it.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to make.
