Snow Scene

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Make A Scene.  The image is an old stamp from Elusive Images (Chocolate Baroque).  I found the ready stamped image sitting in one of my many baskets so I can't tell you what inkpad I used.  The backing paper is Kanban, the ribbon is from my stash, sentiment is computer generated and I added some Stickles Star Dust.

I am also entering my card into the challenge at Ooh La La Creations - Let It Snow.

Snippets Day

Good Evening, my card to share today is for Jules Crafty Snippets Challenge.   The silver mirri is made up from 3 strips of left overs, the smallest being just the width of the ribbon so the joins don't show.  The bp is two strips of DCWV left overs and joined together with the green cs.  Not sure where that came from, just found it in my box and realized it was the right colour.  The image is Elusive Images (now Chocolate Baroque)  I used Versamark and Stickum Powder to get a sticky surface in order to use this lovely silver/multi glitter from Debbi Moore.  The corners are a Cuttlebug die, the ribbon was lying at the bottom of my ribbon box  and the sentiment was computer generated.  I have got masses of different white card offcuts so I have started using removable glue tape and sticking these bits to a piece of cheap copy printer so that I can use them in my printer to make sentiments.

Snowflakes

Good evening, my card today is for the challenge over at Bah Humbug and this week the ladies are asking for Snowflakes.  The image is a stamp that I love and it comes out every year,  it's an old Elusive Images one that I have had quite a long time.  The bp is from Season's Greetings an Artylicious cd, the ribbon is left over from the wedding stationery I made earlier in the year and the snowflakes are from a Cuttlebug die.

I am also entering my card into the challenge at CD Sunday, which gives us a choice of Die Cutting/Yeehaw this week.

Football Crazy

Good Evening, my card today is a 30th Birthday card.  The image is an Elusive Images stamp which I got in a Graphicus stash box about three years ago.  I have used it many times for a man card, but think this is the first time I have put it on my blog.  The bp is from Crafters Companion, it's from their Men CD and the football boots image is from the co-ordinating stamp set. The black offset card is from my stash and Cuttlebugged with the dots folder, the sentiment is computer generated.

A Pink Christmas

I have made my card today to fill two challenges:   Bah Humbug Challenge 15 Pretty in Pink
  and I have followed Sketch100 from Sketch Saturday. The image is an unmounted stamp that I think is Elusive Images stamped with Brilliance Ink -Pearlescent Purple, the bp is from DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas, the matting cs is Stardream, purple punch, the gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from a Woodware clear stamps set of useful phrases.

Oh Christmas Tree

My second card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is Trees.  I decided to do this Christmas Tree  mainly because I found it in one of my many boxes already stamped and embossed, it is an Elusive Images stamp.   I matted it onto siver mirror card, used my inverted circle corner punch and added some pearls.  The bp is from Funky Fairys, the ribbon and other cs came from my box of bits.  I finished off with a simple peel off Happy Christmas.

Better late than never

Here we go again - by the skin of my teeth.  This is my card for the Bah Humbug Challenge asking for Tags or Labels.  I'm not very good with tags and  most of my previous efforts ended up in the bin, that was until I decided to just use the label for the sentiment.  The image is  Judikins - A Partrige in a Pear Tree, I have used variegated metal leafing flakes, it appears that I missed the odd grain of stamp n bond powder before heating it as there are some dots of the leafing that I can't get off.  The paper is from a Papermania pad I bought for last Christmas and never used.  The flower is from my stash as are the brads, ribbon and matting cardstock.  I'm not sure where the sentiment stamp came from, probably Elusive Images because I have a few of  Glenda's Christmas Plates.  The tag was cut from a Spellbinder nestie tag set. 

Sorry it's not a very good picture, but as it's 10.45 pm  this is the best I could get.  Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make, I appreciate every single one.  Beryl x

A Simple Card

This is my card for this week's Bah Humbug challenge, which is Trees and decided to keep it very simple. I actually had it made in plenty of time to post it yesterday, but I as I didn't have a dark blue ribbon I decided to colour some white. I had used Distress Ink in Denim to stamp the image and as I couldn't find a marker the right colour I decided to us the ink pad. I discovered that Distress Inks do not actually work too well because they take so long to dry. I had blue fingers and wasted a couple sheets of card, I even rubbed it with kitchen towel, all to no avail. So decided to leave it overnight, and I still managed to mark the card slightly when trying to put it together, this morning but decided I could cover the inky mark with the toppers. The image is from an unmounted Elusive Images Christmas plate. Sorry there is a bit of shadow on the card, that is because I have got sunshine streaming in throught the windows, which is reflecting off the awful white stuff still lying around, deep and crisp and even.

I am going to enter this card into the SaturdaySpotlight Challenge as well, which is Clean and Simple.

Eureka Moment

I thought I was going to have real problems this week with Rainbow Lady's Challenge which is 'Stamping on Unusual Materials', set by Guest Designer Martha. Then this morning whilst getting dressed I remembered I had some sheets of cork in my stash. I bought this ages ago to enter a challenge on the Joanna Sheen forum, which was to use cork. After buying the cork, so that I could enter, I never got around to it and the cork has been lying unloved and unwanted at the back of a cupboard ever since. So my unusual material is cork. I stamped various stamps from the Elusive Images Wild Meadow unmounted plate with green Stazon onto the cork and went round the edges with Tea Dye Distress ink. The backing paper is Cuddly Buddly, the mirror card and ribbon is from my stash and I finished off with a simple peel off sentiment on cork and mirror board.

I had to scan the card because I couldn't get a clear pic of my stamping. It's sill not too clear but you can get the idea. Thank you for visiting today and for all the wonderful comments you leave Beryl x

Soothing Sunset

My card today is for Sketch No.90 over at Friday Sketchers. The image is from Elusive Images unmounted plate Eastern Grasses. I have stamped and embossed the image onto a piece of glossy card which I have brayered with Soothing Sunset Big and Juicy inkpad. The colours are much more subtle in real life and I was quite surprised to find the orange part of the image so bright in the pic. The papers are from Cuddly Buddly, I do love these downloaded papers. All the elements of the sketch are mounted onto purple Silk Mirri card. The flowers are from my stash, I used a Brilliance inkpad to add some colour to the larger flower and the pearl brad is from a set of gorgeous brads from Papermania.

Back again

I made this card for a forum friend's birthday and have been waiting for a challenge in which I could enter it. This week The Pink Elephant is asking for Ribbon so my card fits the bill. The image is another stamp from the Wild Meadow unmounted plate by Elusive Images. Once again I used my Tombow Pens directly on the stamp, the edging was done using the Field of Sky stamp from Stamp Addicts. The bp is a Cuddly Buddly download - and as you can see it matches this stamp perfectly. Everything else, ribbon, gold beads and mirror card came from my stash. I finished the card with a simple peel off greeting on a nestie tag.

Sketch and Stash

Late on parade today! My card is for the Sketch and Stash challenge. The new part is the image which is from an unmounted Elusive Images Sheet - Wild Meadow and I used Tombow pens to ink the solid stamp. The bp are also newish and from Cuddly Buddly everything else came from my stash.

Love

There are loads of Valentine's challenges out there this week, which is a bit of a shame for me, cos I only have one ordered and don't send them myself. So, I was quite happy to see that Ooh-la-la-Creations are asking for 'Love', this can be any kind of love, so my Wedding Card will hopefully fit the bill. The image is from Elusive Images stamped and embossed onto Opal Stardream card and then 3d'd onto nesties. The bp is from Sharon Duncan's latest Embossibilities cd printed onto Stardream paper. The leaves are punched and the flower, ribbon and flower gems come from my craft box. I sprayed the topper and the flower with Crafter's Companion gold glitter spray to give them a bit of oomph. The sentiments were computer generated and printed onto the Opal Stardream card and heat embossed with detail gold ep.

I think I can also enter my card into Crafty Ann's Metal Challenge this week. I have used Gold Mirror Card, Gold Embossing Powder and Gold Glitter Spray

Bethany's Fairies

Hi, I have been crafting with my eldest grand-daughter - she is the one in the pic with red hair and glasses. She wanted to try some Encaustic Art so I gave her the wax and irons to play with. This is one of her pieces, we then got the stamps out and she stamped and coloured these Elusive Images Fairies and we thought they would look really good on her wax picture. Two in one

Hi, my card today is for two challenges once again. I have followed Sketch59 for Sketch Saturday and secondly my card fills the challenge at My Time To Craft which is 'Music to My Ears'. I am trying to use up some co-orinating papers that I have had kicking around for the past 3 or 4 years I can't remember the make, sorry. The cs is Core'dinations. 2 in 1

I have made this card to fit two challengs again. Firstly for SketchandStash No.7 and secondly for The Pink Elephant which is a recipe. You have to use texture, stamping and punching. I put the dark brown card through my Cuttlebut Swiss Dots folder. The squares are cut from a piece of Encaustic Art that I made a while ago. The stamp is one from an Elusive Images Plate, Butterfly Daisy Collage. It is the first time I have used this particular stamp from the sheet. I stippled some inks onto glossy card and then sealed it with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine and when dry I stamped the butterfly with a Versamagic Chalk Inkpad called Java. I finally sprayed the finished piece with Crafter's Companion Gold Spray and Sparkle, the pic doesn't really show the sparkle. I love these new sprays. Charisma Cardz

My second card today is for the challenge over at Charisma Cards which is a sketch. The image is from Elusive Images, one of Glenda's Fairy Plates. I have stamped my fairy with Versafine Crimson and painted her wings with a waterbrush and a Sakura Stardust pen to give a bit of shimmer, which does not show in the pic. I die cut a buckle from Sissix and tied a piece of grosgrain ribbon to it as an embellishment and I attached the required flower to the card with a pearl brad. The big flower was a free one from a magazine a couple of months back, the silver card, gems and ribbon all came from my stash. Peacock Lady

Today's card is for a friend's birthday. The image is from one of the Elusive Images Peacock Range, I've had it for a while and this is the first time I have used this particular stamp. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black and coloured the headress with Inktense Pencils and I used Promarkers for her face. The bp is from my Graphicus Guild Pack. After finishing colouring in I felt there there was too much blank card around the image so I decided to cut away all the blank bits and have ended up with the odd shape. Twins

I haven't got a challenge card made today, so I thought I would post these that I made over the weekend. They are for great nephews. I was pulling my hair out because I had no ideas at all as to what to use for 8 year old boys. I wanted similar images, but not exactly the same. I was trawling the net for images of dinosaurs and stuff and saw the word Dragon. Then the lighbulb went on over my head and I remember I had these dragon stamps from Elusive Images. I bought them on a whim a while ago and whilst putting them onto EaziMount thought I had wasted my money, put them in a drawer and forgot about them. I have coloured them with Inktense pencils. Butterfly

Well, I've finally managed to do a challenge, the first one for over a week. This is for Friday Sketchers No.40. The papers are from the new magazine Creative Cardmaking. The stamp is from an Elusive Images Sheet. The flower and gems are from my stash and I have finished off with peel-off borders and text. I have just realised that the sentiment is squint and my matting and layering is not that good either, oh well, at least I have managed to complete a challenge.
