Birdsong

Good Afternoon, well I have had another go at a Tag for DragonsDream Tag it On this week, where the theme is from the book Birdsong.  I've not read this one, so I have just gone for the Bird.  I coloured the tag with Weathered Wood and Peeled Paint Distress Ink, the sentiment, flowers and bird are all Chocolate Baroque stamps and the group of birds is a Clarity Stamp.  I am not really sure about this, think I should have used a lighter ink for the reeds, flowers and bull rushes.  I coloured the bird with  Promarkers

Damsel Fly

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for my daughter's Goddaughter who is going to be 11 going on 19.  So cute would not be acceptable at all and I also left the number off!! So, I decided to go with bright and glittery, the backing paper is from a cover gift from Cardmaking and Papercraft, the corner image is another cover gift from the same mag coloured with Promarkers, the Damsel Fly is a Clarity stamp.  I stamped it twice, once onto white card, then onto sticky back acetate, and covered the back with cerise glitter from Debbi Moore, I think you can just about see the glitter in the pic. The sentiment is computer generated to which I added a shrink plastic version of the damsel fly.

I am entering my card into:
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

Many thanks for visiting today and I hope you like my card.

The Time Traveller's Wife

Hi Folks, my share today isn't a card - I've jumped out of my comfort zone and had a play with a tag for DragonsDream TIO Challenge - Time, from the book The Time Traveller's Wife.  The card I have used to make the tag is from a play session I had the other day with Distress Stains, as shown in this month's Craft Stamper.  The clock image is the cover free stamp from an earlier copy of the magazine, the sentiment is from Clarity the flowers and gem are from my stash and the little parcel is an offcut from the original bit of card.  I coloured the ribbon to match.

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today, I am really not sure about this piece as I am very new to inking techniques and am never quite sure if I have pulled it off or not.  Sorry about the pic but my camera and computer don't want to talk to each other, think I need a new cable, so have used my phone to take this one.

Mermaid

Good Afternoon everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and warm.  Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Less is More.

For our first Anniversary we are back to a repeat of our inaugural challenge which for the first Saturday of the month is colour... and this time we have chosen
AQUA

The image is from Clarity, stamped with Momento and coloured with Promarkers.  As you can see I have been inking again, I did this with Adirondack Aqua and my trusty inkdusters.  I have added  Waterfall Stickles on all of the bubbles and dotted some of it round the mermaid's tail.  I coloured the ribbon with the Aqua inkpad and the sentiment is computer generated.   The image and sentiment are both matted onto Papermania and matt silver cardstock from my stash.  The colours are much prettier in real life, not quite so dark looking,

I hope you like my card and many, many thanks for taking the time to visit.

Up Up And Away

Good Morning been awol for a few days, I've been really busy getting my cards bagged and tagged for the Christmas Fayre in our village on Wednesday night.  I have had a table there twice before, the first time I did really well, but the second time I only made just enough to pay for my table.  That was about 5 years ago, so thought I would dip my toe in the water again.  I want to make a couple of  boxed cards before Wednesday, because these have always gone down well. Sorry in advance if I don't manage to get round to commenting  this week.

Onto today's card.  It is for this weeks Less is More challenge - Silhouettes.  The image is an Heritage stamp which I found in a sale box at our only Craft Shop (25 miles away) a while ago and I have never used it.  The birds are Clarity and the balloon is punched.  The sentiment is a from a birthday greetings set by My Sentiments Exactly.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.

Fireworks

Well it's Less is More time again and this week is a colour challenge - Red and Orange as a tribute to bonfire night.  I have made two cards today, for the first one I used my Clarity Alium stamps, I picked these because the little stamp looks like rockets going off in the sky.  I used a Kaleidacolor Multi ink pad, Desert Heat, the colours range from orange to red, added some glitter then matted  onto some red scrap card, the sentiment is from Crafty Individuals.

The image for the second card is a Stampendous one, not sure what these flowers are, I used the Desert Heat inkpad again and another scrap of red card, not sure of the sentiment manufacturer the packaging went a long time ago

I am also entering my card into CraftyAnn's Challenge - Floral Frenzy

I hope you like my cards and many thanks for visiting.

The gold beads are from my stash

Joy to the World

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Christmas Sentiments/Text.  I have used Clarity Stamps by Barbara Grey, inked with Versamark and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold ep. I used a Kaleidacolor ink pad and my brayer to colour the inside of the 'O', I think I need a lot more practice with my brayer.  The base card and Cuttlebugged card are Stardream and I stamped the the image  onto Clarity Silk Finish Card.  The blue satin ribbon is from Carnmeal Cottage.

I am also entering my card into Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Let's Emboss It,

New Home

Good Evening, my card to share today is a New Home card that a friend asked me to make.  It is a  Less is More card as this is the type of card she likes.  The image has been made up by using Clarity Stamps - house and birds;  Stampscapes - Foreground and trees.  I used various ink pads and Copics to colour the image.  The sentiment was computer generated and the key embellishment came from my stash.

I am entering my card into Rainbow Lady's Challenge - In the Country

Less is More

Well it's Less is More time again and this week Chrissie and Mandi have asked for a One Layer Card and a Frame.  I decided to make an inked rectangle for the frame and managed to waste a fair bit of card in the process - what with one  mistake  or another,  in the end I threw in the towel and slightly cheated.   I was going to the print sentiment directly onto my card with Craft Artist and decided to print the coloured rectangle as well.  Then I used my new Clarity Alium stamp and embosed with white detail embossing powder.

I hope you like my card, I will probably make another attempt at this challenge later in the week

A flower for you

Good Evening, as I managed to get this card finished this afternoon, I decided to do a second post.  This one is for this week's challenge at Less is More - A One Layer Card - Off the Edge.  I have been meaning to take part in this new challenge blog since it first started, but other commitments have got in the way and I have never managed to get a card made.  The quote is a Clarity stamp which I have had since last year, but never used.  Whilst searching for just the right flower stamp I discovered this one, which is part of a clear set by Hero Arts, not only have I never used this set before, I can't even remember when and where I bought it and it was still unopened!!!..........am I the only one? lol

I did the stamping with Momento Tuxedo Black and coloured the flower with Copics.  I hope you like my card and thank you very much for stopping by,

Oranges and Lemon

Good Morning. It's a beautiful morning here, blue sky and sunshine with just a few clouds dotted around.  Hope it lasts.

My card today is for two Challenges - Sketch and Stash No35 and Ooh La La Creations 'Bright and Cheerful'.
The image is from Clarity, stamped in Versamark and dusted with copper mica powder, the papers are Cuddly Buddly, sentiment computer generated, leaves Marianne Creatable, flower,  ribbon and gems from my stash.

For Sketch and Stash, the new elements are  the Clarity stamp and mica powder.  The neglected is the orange ribbon, which I think came as a magazine cover gift ages ago.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for stopping by and leaving me such great comments.

Under the Sea

Good Morning All, my card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is 'Ocean Colours of  Blue and Green plus an Initial'.  I have stamped the Clarity image with Adirondack Stream Inkpad, onto a piece of glossy card coloured with alcohol inks, then embossed with Crystal ep.  I used blue and green Stickles on the bubbles.  I have mounted the image onto a piece of  blue Stardream card, which has been Cuttlebugged.  The bp is from a graphics programme and then overstamped with shells, fish and seaweed, again using the Stream inkpad.    These stamps were lying unused and unloved in one of my stamp boxes and I forgot I had them, and  I can't remember the make as I threw the packaging away!  The sentiment is stamped and embossed using a large Papermania alphabet letter and a Dimension Fourth set of words.

Thank you for stopping by and for the lovely comments you have been leaving me.  Beryl x

Something different

A second late post from me today.  I made this tag this evening for DragonsDream Tag It On challenge, which is 'Along the River'.  I don't normally do tags but felt like trying something different for a change, especially as I had the house to myself tonight - OH was off hitting little white balls around. The challenge was set by fellow Rainbow Friend and Guest Host for this week, Janet of Redmoss Ramblings do pop along to her blog, she does some amazing work, and her tag is gorgeous.
The image for my tag is a Personal Impressions Stamp that I have had for ages, which barely sees the light of day.  I stamped with Black Versafine and then coloured using watercolour pencils.  I masked the main image and used a cut out circle and cut out clouds before sponging with Adirondack Stonewash for the sky.  The birds are by Clarity.

I hope you like my tag and thank you for visiting again,

Something Different

Good Morning,  my card today is for the challenge at Papertake Weekly, which is to do Something Different, this can be anything that you have never done before or something you seldom do.  I have tried this technique before, but don't think I have ever posted the results, cos I am usually not very happy with the final result which ends up in the bin.  I went into my basket of backgrounds that have been sprayed, brayered or just been swooshed with wet dye inks.  I found these two pieces that I did with Cosmic Shimmer Mists a good while ago.  Then I did something else I have never done before, one the bigger piece I stamped  feathers around the edges using a Clarity stamp and Momento Black ink and embossed with clear ep.  I used the co-ordinating text stamp from Clarity on the smaller piece and stamped and embossed that.  I matted each piece onto some scrap black card and mounted onto silver mirror board, both from my stash.  I had real problems with the backing paper, I couldn't find a piece amongst all the thousands that I have got, either in hard copy or digital, to find a piece to co-ordinate properly - they were either all too purple to too blue.  I ended up with this piece from Cuddly Buddly as a last resort.  I did try and put a couple of feathers to back the topper, but I got glue everywhere and gave up, the gems are from my stash

I hope you like my card and thanks once again for visiting.

New Home Card

Good Afternoon fellow bloggers.  My daughter asked me to make a card for a friend who is moving home, and this is the result.  I used four stamps to create the scene, the house, tree and birds are all Clarity Stamps and the roadway is Stampscapes.  The house was coloured with Copics and the landscape with Distress Inks. The backing papers are from Funky Fairys, the central strip is Coredinations, dark green in colour, and the matting has been done using silver mirror board from my stash.  The sentiment is computer generated and I have embellished with a key ring with keys.

My card is a last minute entry into the Sketch challenge at Papertake Weekly.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Baloon Tree

Well for a change I have managed to get a card made at the start of a challenge and not at the last minute. This is my final card for my Grand-daughter Kayla, this one is from her brother and sister.  I started off yesterday following this week's sketch for Papertake Weekly.  I had to rotate in because of the image I had decided to use.  I've just checked it again and think maybe I have tweaked it a bit too much, sorry ladies.  The image is a new stamp that I got from the Clarity Sale, it's called Balloon Tree and perfect for children's cards.  I coloured with Copics, using the colours of the flowers in the bp which is from a DCWV 12 x 12 stack that I found in W H Smith at half price, the other bp is Cuddly Buddly.  I matted and layered with silver mirror board and some purple lightweight card from my stash.  I used the same purple card for the punched border and the number 4.  The flower was punched with scraps from my bit box.  I am also entering my card into the My Time To Craft Challenge - Kids Kardz! and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge - Celebrations!

I didn't manage to get the card completely finished yesterday, I just needed to add the flower, number and personalise it.  This morning I did a bit of blog hopping to check out some Friday Challenges and couldn't believer my luck when I got to CraftyAnn's Challenge.  It's a colour combo challenge of Lilac, Pink and Lemon and Kayla's card has all three plus some blue, green and orange so I can enter my card into Ann's challenge as well.

Not quite sure why my text is centred today, it wouldn't left justify for some reason.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for all your support and lovely comments, both are very much appreciated.

The card is Opal Stardream it looks white in the scan, but in real life it is a gorgeous clotted cream colour.I have stamped the corners with a Clarity Stamp and embossed with copper embossing powder.
