Stripes

Good Afternoon, well it's Less is More day again and, as usual my white scrap box has filled up nicely again as it is time for a One Layer Card - this time with Stripes.  I found a couple of border stamps with just two vertical lines on them in a Dimension Fourth Art Deco set of stamps.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but kept getting the stripes wrong.  Anyhow, I ended up with this card, apart from the stripes I used a Clarity Alium stamp, a small sentiment stamp and some black velvet ribbon which I received at Christmas as part of a Secret Santa gift.  I am not at all happy with this, cos I haven't placed the alium properly, the stripes aren't very even and the sentiment is slightly squint. The silly thing is that when practicing the stripes they always worked perfectly!!  I have a couple of  new ideas floating around so I might be back with another card.

Thanks so much for your visit today

I think its a lovely card. I think if the alium was closer to the right,it would be better, is that what you think?

  4. You have been busy Beryl while I have been tied up. I love all three cards that you have made since my last visit.

I can not find anything wrong with this last one sweetie, you are too critical of yourself. It is lovely.

  11. I wasted a fair bit of card on this one too Beryl!
The trouble with One Layer is that it's so unforgiving... your card however, looks fab!
    Thanks so much
