Happy Birthday

Good Afternoon, sorry I've not been around for a few days again but my mojo seems to have departed and I'm struggling to get motivated about anything at the moment.   It's my eldest daughters 40th next Monday and I have got absolutely no idea about her card, which needs to be in the post by tomorrow at the latest.

I have just thrown this card together for this week's Less is More Challenge which this week is Don't Scrap It - use up some of our offcuts and snippets.  The sentiment image is from Papermania, coloured with Promarkers,  all of the cardstock, including the card itself has come from scrap boxes, the ribbon I found at the bottome of my ribbon box.

Many thanks for visiting today

Special Delivery

Good Afternoon, it a lovely sunny day here but, the wind is awful and apparentally going to get even stronger. My card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Dogs, in recognition of  Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day.  My image is a digi stamp from the new cd from Just Inlined - The Next Big Thing.  There a masses of digi stamps on this cd plus a fair bit of other goodies too.  I'm not particularly good at colouring and have always found animals the most difficult. I have used Promarkers with the fine nibs attached and just drawn lots of little thin lines all over the image with three different colours.  The backing paper is Cuddly Buddley the green and yellow card is Papermania, I stamped Happy Birthday onto the envelope, finished off with Card Candy and the sentiment is computer generated.

Birdsong

Good Afternoon, well I have had another go at a Tag for DragonsDream Tag it On this week, where the theme is from the book Birdsong.  I've not read this one, so I have just gone for the Bird.  I coloured the tag with Weathered Wood and Peeled Paint Distress Ink, the sentiment, flowers and bird are all Chocolate Baroque stamps and the group of birds is a Clarity Stamp.  I am not really sure about this, think I should have used a lighter ink for the reeds, flowers and bull rushes.  I coloured the bird with  Promarkers

A Second Post

Well I must be feeling better as I'm back with a second card today.  That's the first time I have made more than one card in day since last year.  This one is for the CD Sunday Challenge - Wings and Legs.  The image and backing paper are from Debbi Moore's Garden Fairies CD, I put some Stickles Stardust on the wings, the flower was made with my Spellbinders Daisy Die, the sentment was stamped and the ribbon from my stash.

Happily Ever After

Good Afternoon, sorry I've not been  around much this week, the dizzy spells have been quite bad again.  But, I finally got my ENT appointment yesterday.  The clinic was running very late, I had to wait an hour, but it was worth it.  I got to see the consultant and he diagnosed Positional Vertigo and did the Eply Maneuver three times, it worked really well and I feel better today than I have been feeling since Christmas.  I may have to go to Aberdeen  to have this done again, because the ENT people only come to the islands once every two or three months, but it will be worth it.

Any hoo, on to my card.  This is for the challenge at Less is More, which this week is to use our punches and die cuts.  I have used circle nesties and the lovely new Memory Box heart dies.  I bought these because I have been asked to make some wedding samples and I thought this heart set would be quite good for that.  The backing card is Papermania Shimmer, the sentiment is from a Woodware Clear wedding set and cut with Spellbinders Just Rite Sentiment tags.  I think this is the first card since Christmas that I have managed to make without any snags at all.

I am also entering my card into this week's Make it Monday Challenge, I was thrilled to bits that my Damsel Fly card was picked as feature  entry of the week for last week's challenge.

Thank you some much for visiting and leaving me such lovely comments, they really do mean so much

Damsel Fly

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for my daughter's Goddaughter who is going to be 11 going on 19.  So cute would not be acceptable at all and I also left the number off!! So, I decided to go with bright and glittery, the backing paper is from a cover gift from Cardmaking and Papercraft, the corner image is another cover gift from the same mag coloured with Promarkers, the Damsel Fly is a Clarity stamp.  I stamped it twice, once onto white card, then onto sticky back acetate, and covered the back with cerise glitter from Debbi Moore, I think you can just about see the glitter in the pic. The sentiment is computer generated to which I added a shrink plastic version of the damsel fly.

I am entering my card into:
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

Many thanks for visiting today and I hope you like my card.

Fire Goddess

Good Afternoon, my card for today is for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - L is for....  My take on this is L for Light, L is for Layers and possibly L for Love, this isn't too apparent, but the image does say 'To Someone Special' and the card is for a customer to give his girlfriend.  I have used an image and matching backing papers from Debbi Moore's Fire Goddess CD, which came free with her January Magazine.  It has some beautiful images on it, including a fabulous tiger.  The layered backing card is Coredinations, the roses and gems are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

I actually made this card for last weeks A La Mode Challenge, but decided it didn't really fit the bill.  Hence I am quick off the mark with my entry lol.

Thank you so much for visiting.

Stripes

Good Afternoon, well it's Less is More day again and, as usual my white scrap box has filled up nicely again as it is time for a One Layer Card - this time with Stripes.  I found a couple of border stamps with just two vertical lines on them in a Dimension Fourth Art Deco set of stamps.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but kept getting the stripes wrong.  Anyhow, I ended up with this card, apart from the stripes I used a Clarity Alium stamp, a small sentiment stamp and some black velvet ribbon which I received at Christmas as part of a Secret Santa gift.  I am not at all happy with this, cos I haven't placed the alium properly, the stripes aren't very even and the sentiment is slightly squint. The silly thing is that when practicing the stripes they always worked perfectly!!  I have a couple of  new ideas floating around so I might be back with another card.

Thanks so much for your visit today

Have a Heart

Good Evening, I am really late today but all the things I tried to do this morning went in the bin, so decided to have another play this evening.  My card is a very clean and simple one for Rainbow Lady's Challenage - Have a Heart.  I decided to make a card for my box that would be good for a wedding or engagement at some point.
The image is Chocolate Baroque stamped and embossed with Wow embossing powder, matted onto a piece of gold mirri from my scrap box and finished off with some organza ribbon and little gold pearls.

Thank very much for visiting, please feel free to leave a comment.  I do so love reading them

The Time Traveller's Wife

Hi Folks, my share today isn't a card - I've jumped out of my comfort zone and had a play with a tag for DragonsDream TIO Challenge - Time, from the book The Time Traveller's Wife.  The card I have used to make the tag is from a play session I had the other day with Distress Stains, as shown in this month's Craft Stamper.  The clock image is the cover free stamp from an earlier copy of the magazine, the sentiment is from Clarity the flowers and gem are from my stash and the little parcel is an offcut from the original bit of card.  I coloured the ribbon to match.

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today, I am really not sure about this piece as I am very new to inking techniques and am never quite sure if I have pulled it off or not.  Sorry about the pic but my camera and computer don't want to talk to each other, think I need a new cable, so have used my phone to take this one.

Love Is In The Air

Good Morning, I'm struggling a bit at the moment with challenge cards because a lot of them require a Valentines or Love theme.  I have already made the only Valentine card that I need for this year, luckily I need a Wedding Anniversary Card.  The image and backing paper are from the Love Section on Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD, I do love this cd.  The matting card, flower and heart shaped hat pins are all from my stash, the sentiment is computer generated.

I am entering my card into  two challenges hosted by CraftyAnn and Joanna Sheen,
Both challenges are Love Is The Air.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today

Red Shoes

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which this week is Wear Red Day.  The image is from Debbi Moore's New York CD, the bp is from my scrap box but I am sure that is a Debbi Moore one as well.  The shoes are from a Creative Expressions unmounted  plate stamped with Momento onto a piece of scrap card from my white box, the sentiment is computer generated.

I am also entering my card into the CD Sunday Challenge - A La Mode and Pixie's Snippet Challenge No 6.

Thank you so much for visiting today.

Mermaid

Good Afternoon everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and warm.  Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Less is More.

For our first Anniversary we are back to a repeat of our inaugural challenge which for the first Saturday of the month is colour... and this time we have chosen
AQUA

The image is from Clarity, stamped with Momento and coloured with Promarkers.  As you can see I have been inking again, I did this with Adirondack Aqua and my trusty inkdusters.  I have added  Waterfall Stickles on all of the bubbles and dotted some of it round the mermaid's tail.  I coloured the ribbon with the Aqua inkpad and the sentiment is computer generated.   The image and sentiment are both matted onto Papermania and matt silver cardstock from my stash.  The colours are much prettier in real life, not quite so dark looking,

I hope you like my card and many, many thanks for taking the time to visit.
