Off to the Mainland

Hi Folks, sorry I've not been around much these past few days, been under the weather again1  But, I am off on the ferry to the mainland this evening to visit some grandchildren, so hopefully that will do me the world of good and will be back in a couple of weeks raring to go.

See you in a couple of weeks and many thanks for your continued support

Disappearing Comments

Does anyone else suffer from this.  I received two comments yesterday and they both disappeared into cyber space. They were posted at different times, one on it's own and the other one of three.  When it was the single post I thought perhaps I had hit reject and not pulish, but I know that wasn't the case with the second comment, as two out of the three published immediately.  I have noticed this before on occasion.

Oranges and Lemon

Good Morning. It's a beautiful morning here, blue sky and sunshine with just a few clouds dotted around.  Hope it lasts.

My card today is for two Challenges - Sketch and Stash No35 and Ooh La La Creations 'Bright and Cheerful'.
The image is from Clarity, stamped in Versamark and dusted with copper mica powder, the papers are Cuddly Buddly, sentiment computer generated, leaves Marianne Creatable, flower,  ribbon and gems from my stash.

For Sketch and Stash, the new elements are  the Clarity stamp and mica powder.  The neglected is the orange ribbon, which I think came as a magazine cover gift ages ago.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for stopping by and leaving me such great comments.

CD Sunday

Good Morning Fellow Bloggers.  My card today is for The CD Sunday Challenge, which this week is Days Gone By.  I have made an easel card using an image and matching papers from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD.  I have matted everything onto some burgandy cardstock, which I found in one of my stash boxes.  I have managed, for the very first time, to use Aged Mahogany Distress Ink around the edges of the paper.  I usually make an awful mess of this technique, so I am quite pleased with myself.  I have a real problem with cut and dry foam, so I tried Judikins Colour Dusters and they worked.  The lace and pearls are from Wild Orchids Crafts and the rose spray is from Joanna Sheen.  The card is for my neighbour's birthday and I still have to personalise it, this will be on the empty side of the base.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.  Beryl x

Bah Humbug!

Good Morning, it's a beautiful morning here in the Northern Isles, sunshine and only a slight breeze, if it stays like this I may be able to sit outside later and catch some rays.

My card today is for Bah Humbug - Punched Borders, sorry I missed last week ladies.  I cheated with the image and used the ready coloured one of Emma the Hugger with Ed the Snowman from Fred She Said, the bp is also FSS.  The border is Cordinations, punched with a Martha Stewart punch, silver beads from my stash, punched snowflakes and finished off with a silver peel off sentiment coloured blue.

I am also entering this card into DU2DS challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments you have been leaving.

A second post today

Seeing as how I've missed a couple of days this week I am posting a second card.  It is for CrafyAnn's Challenge this fortnight, which is 'Anything Goes'.  So as I missed the Bah Humbug challenge last week I thought I would make an extra Christmas Card. I've done this week's Bah Humbug card, but will post it tomorrow.  The image is from Mo Manning, I bought it for last Christmas and never got around to using it as I was so behind.  That's not going to happen this year lol.  I coloured the image with my Copics, the bp came free from Cardmaking and Papercraft last year.  Everything else, red cardstock, gold mirror board, flowers came from my stash.  The sentiment was stamped onto foil card and embossed with red ep.

I am also entering my card in Sketch49 over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Thank you for visiting.  Beryl x

Under the Sea

Good Morning All, my card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is 'Ocean Colours of  Blue and Green plus an Initial'.  I have stamped the Clarity image with Adirondack Stream Inkpad, onto a piece of glossy card coloured with alcohol inks, then embossed with Crystal ep.  I used blue and green Stickles on the bubbles.  I have mounted the image onto a piece of  blue Stardream card, which has been Cuttlebugged.  The bp is from a graphics programme and then overstamped with shells, fish and seaweed, again using the Stream inkpad.    These stamps were lying unused and unloved in one of my stamp boxes and I forgot I had them, and  I can't remember the make as I threw the packaging away!  The sentiment is stamped and embossed using a large Papermania alphabet letter and a Dimension Fourth set of words.

Thank you for stopping by and for the lovely comments you have been leaving me.  Beryl x

Something different

A second late post from me today.  I made this tag this evening for DragonsDream Tag It On challenge, which is 'Along the River'.  I don't normally do tags but felt like trying something different for a change, especially as I had the house to myself tonight - OH was off hitting little white balls around. The challenge was set by fellow Rainbow Friend and Guest Host for this week, Janet of Redmoss Ramblings do pop along to her blog, she does some amazing work, and her tag is gorgeous.
The image for my tag is a Personal Impressions Stamp that I have had for ages, which barely sees the light of day.  I stamped with Black Versafine and then coloured using watercolour pencils.  I masked the main image and used a cut out circle and cut out clouds before sponging with Adirondack Stonewash for the sky.  The birds are by Clarity.

I hope you like my tag and thank you for visiting again,

A simple card

Evening All!  Not been around for a few days, been a bit under the weather again!  Anyway, on with my card, it is for The CD Sunday Challenge, which this week is 'Country Charm'.  It's a very simple card with bp and image from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Garden CD, the punched card is Coredinations, sentiment is computer generated and finished off with a couple of peel off corners, which don't show up very well, from my stash as are the brads and gold mirror board.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make.

1st Birthday Card

Good evening everyone, my card today is for my neighbour's great-grandson who is going to be one next week, and is for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is Sketch No.40.  The papers are all from Cuddly Buddly, matted onto silver mirror board, the image is from the Daisy and Dandelion Range, the gems are from my stash, the name tag is computer generated and the number is from a Cuttlebug alphabet.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today.

New Baby

Seeing as though I have missed a few days I thought I would do a second post today.  This card is for CD Sunday, which this weeks is to make a New Baby card.  I have used the Joanna Sheen Baby Love CD for the image and bp.  The gold mirror board and matching cs are from my stash.  I used some gold  baby shoes, that I got from ebay ages ago to embellish the card, the sentiment is computer generated and the circles are nesties.

I am also entering my card into Sketch and Stash Challenge 34, but have just realised that there is nothing actually new on my card.  The ribbon I have had for absolutely ages but this is the first time I have used any of this particular one, up until now it has always been just that wrong shade of pink.   So can this perhaps be both my neglected and new stash at the same time... please?

Thank you for visiting.  Beryl x

Nikki and Friend

Today's card is for the Bah Humbug! Challenge, which this week is 'Snowflakes'. Seeing as how I used my lovely snowflake stamp last week I decided on a change and  used a new stamp, Nikki and Friends by Ladybird Crafts, coloured with Copics.  I have teamed the card with Artylicious bp from the Season' Greetings CD.  The ribbon was white and then coloured with a Copic to match and came from my stash, the Snowflakes are Cuttlebugged. I added a little bit of glitter and finished with a simple peel off greeting.

Thank you for visiting today, please feel free to leave a comment.   Beryl x

Something Different

Good Morning,  my card today is for the challenge at Papertake Weekly, which is to do Something Different, this can be anything that you have never done before or something you seldom do.  I have tried this technique before, but don't think I have ever posted the results, cos I am usually not very happy with the final result which ends up in the bin.  I went into my basket of backgrounds that have been sprayed, brayered or just been swooshed with wet dye inks.  I found these two pieces that I did with Cosmic Shimmer Mists a good while ago.  Then I did something else I have never done before, one the bigger piece I stamped  feathers around the edges using a Clarity stamp and Momento Black ink and embossed with clear ep.  I used the co-ordinating text stamp from Clarity on the smaller piece and stamped and embossed that.  I matted each piece onto some scrap black card and mounted onto silver mirror board, both from my stash.  I had real problems with the backing paper, I couldn't find a piece amongst all the thousands that I have got, either in hard copy or digital, to find a piece to co-ordinate properly - they were either all too purple to too blue.  I ended up with this piece from Cuddly Buddly as a last resort.  I did try and put a couple of feathers to back the topper, but I got glue everywhere and gave up, the gems are from my stash

I hope you like my card and thanks once again for visiting.

Artfully Asian

Today's card is for the new challenge CD Sunday Challenge Blog, which is Artfully Asian this week.  I have used Joanna Sheen's Eastern Treasures CD for the image and matching backing paper.  I have added some gems, ribbon and flowers from my stash.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for all the lovely comments you leave me.

Rock On

Over at Crafty Ann's this week the challenge is a recipe: a digital main image, up to 3 colours, 3 flowers and 1 ribbon.  I have used shades of brown which I hope will count at one colour, pink and some silver matting.
The image is Rock Chix from Sandra's Dry Digi-Stamps coloured with Derwent Colour Soft pencils, the ribbon was white and I coloured it using a brown ProMarker, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, bp is Cuddly Buddly and the sentiment is from Crafty Individuals.  I finished off with three brown brads.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today and for the lovely comments you leave.

New Home Card

Good Afternoon fellow bloggers.  My daughter asked me to make a card for a friend who is moving home, and this is the result.  I used four stamps to create the scene, the house, tree and birds are all Clarity Stamps and the roadway is Stampscapes.  The house was coloured with Copics and the landscape with Distress Inks. The backing papers are from Funky Fairys, the central strip is Coredinations, dark green in colour, and the matting has been done using silver mirror board from my stash.  The sentiment is computer generated and I have embellished with a key ring with keys.

My card is a last minute entry into the Sketch challenge at Papertake Weekly.
Thank you for stopping by today.

A Pink Christmas

I have made my card today to fill two challenges:   Bah Humbug Challenge 15 Pretty in Pink
and I have followed Sketch100 from Sketch Saturday. The image is an unmounted stamp that I think is Elusive Images stamped with Brilliance Ink -Pearlescent Purple, the bp is from DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas, the matting cs is Stardream, purple punch, the gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from a Woodware clear stamps set of useful phrases.

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you like my card.

When April Showers come your way.....

For my second offering of the day my card is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which this week is April Showers.  I have used Willow with Umbrella from Whiff of Joy coloured with Copics and some stickles on the rain drops.     The bp is all Funky Fairys backed onto silver mirror board from my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the dark green cs is Coredinations and the sentiment is computer generated.  I am also entering my card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge, which this week is a sketch.

Thank you for visiting once again and for the lovely comments you leave.

Two late entries

Good Morning, my  card today is for the new challenge at CD Sunday, the theme this week being Wings and Things.  I have dusted off my copy of the Crafter's Companion Oriental CD.  I have printed the butterfly twice, once on photo paper,  then onto inkjet acetate and layered them together to give a three dimentional effect, unfortunately this doesn't show up very well on the pic,  the bp is from the CD as well.  I have followed Sketch33 over at Skech and Stash the new stash being the Cuttlebug daisy embossing folder, practically everything else on the card is neglected.  I haven't used this CD in ages, the ribbon roses have been hidden from the light of day for even longer.  I coloured two different widths of white ribbon with co-ordinated Copics, the cs is a very pale blue Stardream and silver mirror board and the sentiment is another unknown unmounted stamp.

Thank you for visiting today, and for leaving such great comments I appreciate  each and every one.

Let the Sun Shine In

Good Morning, my card today is for two challenges - Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog which is Let the Sun Shine In.  I need some sunshine today as it's overcast and very windy here in the Northern Isles, at least it is dry and the clouds are trying to break up, so maybe will get the sun later on.

Image - a mixed bag of unmounted stamps from ebay
Papers - Cuddly Buddly
Circles - Nestabilities
Ovals - Nellie Snellen
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Scroll - Cuttlebug Die

Santa....paws

Sorry for posting a third card in one day, but I am playing catch up and wanted to make sure I got my card in for this weeks Bah Humbug challenge - Santa Paws.  I don't think rabbits feet are called paws but I am hoping the nice ladies at Bah Humbug will let me in with Messy Rabbit.   The bp is Fred She Said, the cuttled card is Coredinations.  The ribbon came from my stash and I've had the sentiment stamp for ages and have no idea where it came from.

Thank you once again for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to make - good or bad.

Oh Christmas Tree

My second card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is Trees.  I decided to do this Christmas Tree  mainly because I found it in one of my many boxes already stamped and embossed, it is an Elusive Images stamp.   I matted it onto siver mirror card, used my inverted circle corner punch and added some pearls.  The bp is from Funky Fairys, the ribbon and other cs came from my box of bits.  I finished off with a simple peel off Happy Christmas.

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave, they mean so much to me.  Beryl x

40 winks

Good Afternoon, my card today is the anniversary card I made for OH.  He doesn't 'do' cards, in fact I've never received a card from him in all the time we have been together, so I usually do a fun card of some sort for him.. This year though he at least made an effort, he got of  piece of my good cardstock and folded it in half and wrote Happy Birthday and Anniversary on the front of it, on the inside he put 'I made this card', needless to say it now has pride of place on the centre of the mantlepiece amongst all the other cards.

The image is from DigiStampBoutique - Jim Snoozing, this is Robert's favourite pastime (when not golfing) with his favourite drink close at hand.  I coloured with Copics, the bp is Cuddly Buddly, the green cardstock is Coredinations and the little metal heart embellie came from my stash.

My card is for two challenges:  DareU2DigiStamp - Metal.  Cute Card Thursday - Touchy Feely, to use texture.  I have embossed the offset card with the Devine Swirls Folder

I hope you like my card, thank you for visiting today.   Beryl x

If music be the food of love....

Today's card is one I made for a neighbour to give to her friend, who is a music teacher.  As soon as I was asked to make it I knew the image I wanted to use and trotted over to CrafyAnn's to buy this gorgeous digi-stamp.  I also bought her page of ticket stubs because I was asked to put Special Friend on the card and thought the ticket was just right for the image.  I have coloured the image with a combination of  Promarkers and  Copics, the bp's are all from Cuddly Budly, the matting card came from my stash along with  the pearls.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I went around the edges of them with the same Copic that I used for the bow.

I am entering my card into the callenge at My Time to Craft which is Pretty Pearls.

Many thanks for stopping by today and if you would like to leave a comment please do.  Beryl x
ps. Forgot to say the layout is a sketch from The Pink Elephant ages ago

Better late than never

Here we go again - by the skin of my teeth.  This is my card for the Bah Humbug Challenge asking for Tags or Labels.  I'm not very good with tags and  most of my previous efforts ended up in the bin, that was until I decided to just use the label for the sentiment.  The image is  Judikins - A Partrige in a Pear Tree, I have used variegated metal leafing flakes, it appears that I missed the odd grain of stamp n bond powder before heating it as there are some dots of the leafing that I can't get off.  The paper is from a Papermania pad I bought for last Christmas and never used.  The flower is from my stash as are the brads, ribbon and matting cardstock.  I'm not sure where the sentiment stamp came from, probably Elusive Images because I have a few of  Glenda's Christmas Plates.  The tag was cut from a Spellbinder nestie tag set.

Sorry it's not a very good picture, but as it's 10.45 pm  this is the best I could get.  Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make, I appreciate every single one.  Beryl x

For Someone Special

My card today is for the challenge over at Crafty Ann's which is to make a card for Someone Special.  This card is for my neighbour to give to her Great Grandson Rylee who will be 5 at the end of this month.  He is getting a Nintendo DS along with a Super Mario Game from his Mum and Dad, so I went along to Ann's Digi Shop and bought one of her latest designs,  the games console which looks exactly like a DS.  I then did some Googling and came up with the Mario Pictures.  I took all these images into Paint Shop Pro and married them all together.  I left the console white and just coloured in the controls. I used foam tape to lift the lid of the console and then mounted the image onto a nestie circle.  The bp is DCWV and just called The Stack.

I really enjoyed making this card and am really pleased with the way it turned out.  Thank you for visiting my blog and for all the wonderful comments you leave.  Beryl x

Back Again!

Hi folks, sorry I have been awol for quite a while, I haven't been feeling too well for about three weeks, but this morning I suddenly started to feel much better and back to normal. Here is my card for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge, which is embossing.  I have used the Lace Christmas Tree folder and added some gold beads and the Swiss Dots folder.  I have used my new inverted circle punch by Woodware on each of the corners, where I have added some more gold beads, something I learned from Irene.  The base card and embossed card is Quartz Stardream which is a very pale ivory in real life and I have matted onto Mars Stardream, which is dark red.  The text is computer generated and printed onto the Stardream and I quickly added gold ep to heat emboss and then matted onto gold mirror card.  Sorry the card's a bit dark couldn't get a very clear picture and the scan took all of the colour out of it completely.

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments that you may wish to make.  I appreciate every one of them.

April Showers

Hi folks, sorry to have been absent for such a long time.  My card today is my GD card for the new challenge at   Ooh La La Creations, which is April Showers.  The image is Whiff of Joy - Willow with Umbrella, coloured with my Copics and some Stickles on the raindrops.  The bp is Ooh La La Shoes in Bloom, the ribbon was part of a Secret Santa gift from a forum friend, the text is computer generated. I couldn't get a very clear picture so I scanned the card and, unfortunately, the backing paper has lost some of it's colour and the silver mirror card looks black.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.

Vintage Christmas

Good Morning.  Today's card is for this week's Bah Humbug Christmas Challenge, which is Vintage.  I don't do vintage very well, don't even own any lace to put on a card, so I have used Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion for the image and matching bp.  I printed the image onto inkjet canvas and printed the bp onto cream paper.  The corner is from a cuttlebug die as is the sentiment, which was computer generated.  The flower and ribbon come from my stash.  I hope you like it.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

2nd GD Card for Ooh La La

Good Morning, here is my second card as GD with Ooh La La Creations.  I can't believe it's been ten days since my last post and that I am so far behind with my blog visiting.  I wasn't very well last week and my energy levels seem to have deserted me.  I'm beginning to pick up now, so hopefully, will be back posting and visiting normally.

The challenge this week at Ooh La La is A Bow, A Button and Some Bling.  I was fine with the the bow and my bling isn't very blingy (?) just some gold coloured pearls, but the button threw me. I tried to stick it onto the bow, but it was too heavy for the organza ribbon so I ended up just putting it onto the stamped sentiment.  I don't have many buttons and very rarely use them.  I've have just been and checked out the DT's cards and they have been much more artistic with their buttons.  Do check out their cards they are gorgeous.

I the image and bp come from the Femme Fatal cd.  I used opal Stardream for the base card and didn't want to use anything white on the card, so I printed the bp onto cream paper.  The bling, the bow and button all came from my stash.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting me today

Baloon Tree

Well for a change I have managed to get a card made at the start of a challenge and not at the last minute. This is my final card for my Grand-daughter Kayla, this one is from her brother and sister.  I started off yesterday following this week's sketch for Papertake Weekly.  I had to rotate in because of the image I had decided to use.  I've just checked it again and think maybe I have tweaked it a bit too much, sorry ladies.  The image is a new stamp that I got from the Clarity Sale, it's called Balloon Tree and perfect for children's cards.  I coloured with Copics, using the colours of the flowers in the bp which is from a DCWV 12 x 12 stack that I found in W H Smith at half price, the other bp is Cuddly Buddly.  I matted and layered with silver mirror board and some purple lightweight card from my stash.  I used the same purple card for the punched border and the number 4.  The flower was punched with scraps from my bit box.  I am also entering my card into the My Time To Craft Challenge - Kids Kardz! and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge - Celebrations!

I didn't manage to get the card completely finished yesterday, I just needed to add the flower, number and personalise it.  This morning I did a bit of blog hopping to check out some Friday Challenges and couldn't believer my luck when I got to CraftyAnn's Challenge.  It's a colour combo challenge of Lilac, Pink and Lemon and Kayla's card has all three plus some blue, green and orange so I can enter my card into Ann's challenge as well.

Not quite sure why my text is centred today, it wouldn't left justify for some reason.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for all your support and lovely comments, both are very much appreciated.

Skin of my teeth - again!

Well, here I go again only just getting my card finished hours before the challenge closes - and this one is a two weekly one!  The challenge in question is Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog where she asks us to show our creativity by doing something outwith of our comfort zone, a new technique or something we may struggle with.   As soon as I saw the challenge two weeks ago I decided to finally get around to making a side step card.  I got the instructions from a forum member ages ago and apart from making it up in cheap card to see how it worked I haven't done anything else with it.  Until today.  I think maybe I should have decided what images I wanted to use instead of picking the colour first, because it has taken me ages to decide how to decorate it.  The image is a rubber stamp that I got in a grab bag on ebay a good while ago, stamped in Stazon and coloured with my Copics.  The bp are Cuddly Buddly (surprise, surprise!), the other cardstock is from my stash.  The rose spray is from Joanna Sheen and the text and butterflies are all Cuttlebug cut and emboss sets.  I am quite pleased with the result, but have only just noticed that I have smeared the glue under the rose.

I hope you like my card and thank you very much for dropping by today

Another last minute entry

Doesn't time run away with you when you have a few days off.  I haven't stopped since returning home late on Monday afternoon and have only just managed to get my card finished for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Stitching/Faux Stitching.   It had to be a quick and easy card due to my timing issues.  The embossing folder is from Crafts Too, another purchase at the SECC.  I originally intended to emboss the tree a couple of times and then decoupage it, but time ran away with me.  I used plain white card to emboss the tree and then glittered, used some silver beads and edged the card with faux stitching.   I used my inverted corner punch, then matted onto dark green and silver mirror board from my stash.   The backing paper was one I found in my box that I printed for last Christmas.  I think it's from Fred She Said, but didn't check before starting this post and OH is on the pc at the moment, so can't get at the file.  I put a piece of silver ribbon around the centre of the card.

I hope you like my card and thank you so much for visiting and for the lovely comments you leave.

Nearly out of time

This is my first card since my weekend away and I have only just managed to sneak it in to Rainbow Lady's challenge which finishes tonight.  The challenge was to make a fan this week.  The image is one of the very first stamps that I bought when I started cardmaking.  I think it's from Creative Expressions, but as I have taken it off the wooden block and put it onto Eazi Mount, I can't be completely sure.  I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Judikins Twinkling Violet ep onto Cuddly Buddly Patchwork Papers.  All of the bp is Cuddly Buddly mounted onto silver mirror card from my stash.  I mounted the fan onto a large nestie label.  I used my new Martha Stewart punch which I bought at the SECC and finished off with some gems from my stash.

I hope you like my card and thank you so much for dropping by and for your wonderful comments.

Home Again

Well, I'm home again from my weekend visit to my middle daughter and her family in Aberdeen.  I had a great time, the highlight of the weekend being a trip to Glasgow to the SECC on Saturday.  It's my first visit to a big craft event and I had a fabulous time and spent rather a lot of pennies lol.  Doubt if I will manage a card for a couple of days cos I have to take my car into town for a service tomorrow and then catch up on all the horrible things that we have to do after a trip away - especially when we leave our OHs behind to fend for themselves.

Thanks for your good wishes on my GD spot.

Guest Designer

I was recently honoured to be invited to be Guest Designer for March and April for Ooh-la-la Creations.  To say that I am thrilled is an understatement.  This is my card for this fortnight's challenge which is Freestyle - Anything Goes.  The image is from the Ooh-la-la Creations Teentastique CD.  I have matted the image onto dark green Cordinations and gold mirror card, the papers are from Cuddly Buddly and also matted onto gold mirror. The central strip is a co-ordinating green from Coredinations and punched both sides with my Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch.  The flowers are from my stash and were white until I coloured them with a green Copic pen and the pearl brads are from Papermania. The leaves were punched from some scraps in my box using a Woodware punch.

Do go along to the challenge blog and take a look at the great cards made by the DT,  I am really looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your interpretations of the challenge.  I hope you like my card.

A Simple Card

This is my card for this week's Bah Humbug challenge, which is Trees and decided to keep it very simple. I actually had it made in plenty of time to post it yesterday, but I as I didn't have a dark blue ribbon I decided to colour some white. I had used Distress Ink in Denim to stamp the image and as I couldn't find a marker the right colour I decided to us the ink pad. I discovered that Distress Inks do not actually work too well because they take so long to dry. I had blue fingers and wasted a couple sheets of card, I even rubbed it with kitchen towel, all to no avail. So decided to leave it overnight, and I still managed to mark the card slightly when trying to put it together, this morning but decided I could cover the inky mark with the toppers. The image is from an unmounted Elusive Images Christmas plate. Sorry there is a bit of shadow on the card, that is because I have got sunshine streaming in throught the windows, which is reflecting off the awful white stuff still lying around, deep and crisp and even.
I am going to enter this card into the SaturdaySpotlight Challenge as well, which is Clean and Simple.
Thank you for visiting today and for any comments which you may wish to make. I appreciate them very much. Beryl x

Teen Texting

Good Grief, the 1st of March, where is this year going? For Today's card I have followed Sketch92 from Sketch Saturday. The image is Teen Texting from Mo Manning, coloured with Copics. The bp is Cuddly Buddly and I couldn't find anything in my box for the extra elements of the sketch, so I took some offcuts of white and coloured them with the same colours that I used for the image. The sentiment is computer generated.

I am also entering my card into The Pink Elephant challenge which is Green this week

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to make. I hope you like my card. Beryl x

Madison So Chic

For my card today I have followed Sketch91 over at Friday Sketchers. For the image I took Madison So Chic from Charmed Cards and the Oval Frame from CraftyAnn into Paint Shop Pro and married them together. I coloured the border in PSP but all the other colouring I did with my Copics. The bp is CuddlyBuddly, can you tell that I like these papers a lot lol, the cs came from my stash and the pearl brads are Papermania. I haven't put a sentiment on yet as this is a card for my box, but the Sketch didn't specify a sentiment this week. I also turned the sketch on it's side

I am also entering my card into My Time To Craft - In The Frame and

Dare You to DigiStamp - Pearls

Thank you for visiting and I hope you like my card. Beryl x

Eureka Moment

I thought I was going to have real problems this week with Rainbow Lady's Challenge which is 'Stamping on Unusual Materials', set by Guest Designer Martha. Then this morning whilst getting dressed I remembered I had some sheets of cork in my stash. I bought this ages ago to enter a challenge on the Joanna Sheen forum, which was to use cork. After buying the cork, so that I could enter, I never got around to it and the cork has been lying unloved and unwanted at the back of a cupboard ever since. So my unusual material is cork. I stamped various stamps from the Elusive Images Wild Meadow unmounted plate with green Stazon onto the cork and went round the edges with Tea Dye Distress ink. The backing paper is Cuddly Buddly, the mirror card and ribbon is from my stash and I finished off with a simple peel off sentiment on cork and mirror board.

I had to scan the card because I couldn't get a clear pic of my stamping. It's sill not too clear but you can get the idea. Thank you for visiting today and for all the wonderful comments you leave Beryl x

A card for my Mum

This is a Mother's Day card for my Mum. The image is from Fred She Said coloured with my Copics, the yellow flowers are from CraftyAnn and painted with H2Os. The bp is my very first digi paper, but for the life of me I can't remember who I bought it from, I think it was a Scrapbooking site. The cs is Cordinations, with mirror card and bling from my craft box.

My card fills the challenges at Papertake Weekly which is a great sketch and for Digital Tuesday which is a Card for Mum.

Thank you so much for your contiued support.

Pamper Time

A second late entry for today. I have just discovered a new challenge blog called I Love Digi. The first challenge is Think Pink. I made this card today following the sketch for I Love Promarkers only to discover after finishing it there was a second element to the challenge which was Spring - as you can see my card is Pink and not Springlike - so I can enter it into I Love Digi instead.

The image is from Charmed Cards - Holly - Pamper Time, coloured with Promarkers, all of the backing papers are Cuddly Buddly. Everthing else comes from my stash, I coloured the big flower with an ink pad to give it a varigated look.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Oranges and Lemons

My card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which is a recipe this week. 1 Fairy, 1 Circle, 1 Ribbon, 1 piece of black card 1 or more stamps and if you are feeling adventurous a shaped card. Sorry Cynthia not feeling too adventurous today. The image is from Prairie Fairy and coloured with my Copics and I have glittered the wings. The backing papers are Funky Fairy, the black and mirror card comes from my craft box as did the white ribbon which I have coloured with the same colour pen that I used for my fairy's dress. The stamp is the daisy on Carol's Cube from Stamp Addicts.

I have also followed the Sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and am entering my card into the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Check this Out.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Thank you Wanda

I received this award from Wanda, blogging and forum friend, thank you for your kind words. If you haven't seen any of work do drop by her blog and take a look.

According to the rules I have to list 10 things that make me happy. There is no contest really it's my

3 daughters and 7.5 grandchildren,

we don't see enough of each other because we are spread out all over the country - Exeter, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Aberdeen and Shetland. I take two holidays a year to visit them, but we do speak on the phone regularly.

I now have to pass this award onto someone else and I would like to give it to two new bloggers who are also forum friends. So please support them Janet and Janette

Soothing Sunset

My card today is for Sketch No.90 over at Friday Sketchers. The image is from Elusive Images unmounted plate Eastern Grasses. I have stamped and embossed the image onto a piece of glossy card which I have brayered with Soothing Sunset Big and Juicy inkpad. The colours are much more subtle in real life and I was quite surprised to find the orange part of the image so bright in the pic. The papers are from Cuddly Buddly, I do love these downloaded papers. All the elements of the sketch are mounted onto purple Silk Mirri card. The flowers are from my stash, I used a Brilliance inkpad to add some colour to the larger flower and the pearl brad is from a set of gorgeous brads from Papermania.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for leaving me such amazing comments, I really do appreciate them. Beryl x

If Music be the Food of Love

My card today is for CraftyAnn's Challenge Blog, which is If Music be the Food of Love, with the option of using Food, Music or Love. I decided to go with music. The image is one of CrafyAnn's digistamps coloured with Promarkers and then sprayed with Crafter's Companion Spray and Shine. I gave it about four coats to get a glossy look to the guitar. The sheet music, which is stuck to an old cd is from Google. The music notes and circular tags are cuttlebug dies and I cut them out with gunmetal MirriSilk card. The backing paper is from one of Sharon Duncan's Embossibilities cds, the sentiments were computer generated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

ps I have just been to link my card to the challenge and noticed that I have used the exact same image and very similar idea to the card made Kym, a GD for this challenge. I didn't take much notice of the DT cards when I wrote the challenge down last week. I would just like to say that in all honesty I didn't copy Kym's card.

Madison with Attitude

This card is for OH's grand-daughter Caitlen, she is only going to be fourteen, but she certainly is a very determined young lady, this Charmed Crafts image is perfect for her. I have been falling behind again so I cheated and used a ready coloured image. The papers are a download from Cuddly Buddly, everything else comes from my stash. I am entering my card into the challenge at Cute Card Thursday which Metal Mania. I have used five brads on the card.
