Happy Christmas

Thank you for the Christmas cards that some have you have sent to me, they are all gorgeous and very much appreciated. I am sorry for not sending out cards this year, I have been a bit stressed and didn't finish making family cards until Sunday. I have turned my craft room back into a living room for the festive period. Sorry I haven't been around lately and hope to rectify this come the new year.

In the meantime I would like to wish all of you a Very Happy Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time with your families and friends. This card is for you all, thanks for all your support, even though I haven't been posting regularly.

No Red or Green

I am hoping my card today is for two challenges. Papertake Weekly - Red and Green must not be seen, and CraftyAnn's Challenge Blog - Texture. The bp is DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas, the image is Elusive Images stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Purple and embosed with clear ep. The textured card is a piece of Stardream and I have also used this to mount the image onto silver mirror card. The glitzy brad is from Papermania and the flowers come from my stash, the big one coloured with a Copics pen. Oops looks like I managed to get a shadow on the top left of pic when taking it - sorry

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Wow 2 posts in one day!

Hello again, my second post today is for two challenges again. CraftyAnn's Challenge Blog - Black and White + 1, which I have only made by the skin of my teeth - sorry Ann. I have followed Sketch 29 for Papertake Weekly. The image is an Hobby Arts stamp that I discovered in our local craft shop last week and has been stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. Everything else on the card has come from my stash, the bp I have had for about 4 years and I think it's Papermania - and I still have loads left - so why is it that I simply must buy more papers either by download or from shops ;).

I hope I haven't bored you by posting a second time, and thank you for visiting me. Beryl x

Winter Pals

Just a very quick post with my card today. It is for two challenges, My Time To Craft - Winter Pals and Ooh-la-la-Creations which is to make a card for a child. I can't remember the make of the stamp, threw the packaging away oops! watercoloured with my Lyras, backing paper is from a magazine freebee pack, and the offset card is another piece done with pearlescent glue and put through the Cuttlebug snow flake folder.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and also for any comments you may wish to make.

Santa's on his way

Hi, my card is for two challenges. I have followed Sketch 24 over at Sketch and Stash, the old is the embellies on the side, they were brads from a selection box I got last year, and the strings of gold pearls are the new. The other challenge is The Pink Elephant which is 'Colour me Wonderful' translated as anything coloured with your favourite medium. My image is from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Selection and I have coloured using my Copics just got these a couple of months ago and am loving them. I did make Santa's sack a bit too dark, so scibbled randomly over it with the blending pen to try and give it a used look, not sure if it shows up very well though. Finished it off with a peel off greeting.
The backing paper is Funky Fairys, everything else came from my craft box. Many thanks for visiting my wee space on the web, especially as I am not posting as often as I should.

Best Friends

Hi, today's card is for The Pink Elephant Challenge - Plaid, No Ribbon and any number of Brads.
The image is Messy Rabbit from Joanna Sheen coloured with my Lyras and mounted onto nesties. The snowflakes are brads and I have used brads to attach the sentiment which is computer generated and stuck onto a nestie tag. The bp is from Daisy and Dandelion's Christmas pad. The cardstock is Coredinations and I used a Martha Stewart punch.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog,. Beryl x

Carol Singing

Today's card is for two challenges. I have followed Friday Sketchers #79 and used a digi stamp and spray glitter for the current DU2DS challenge which is for Glitter. The image is Dottie & George carol singing from Charmed Cards and Crafts, coloured with my Copics. The offset card has been swirled with blue and white pearlescent glue, cuttlebugged with the snow flake folder and then sprayed with Crafter's Companion Silver Glitter Spray, the snowflake is just punched from some scrap card and then sprayed with the glitter as well, unfortunately the glitter doesn't show up very well. The sentiment is computer generated, dusted with Cosmic Shimmer and cut out with a Nestie tag. The bp is from Fred She Said, I used the Martha Stewart snowflake punch for the centre strip, and everything else came from my stash.
Thank you for visiting and if you would like to leave a comment, please do, as they really make my day.
Beryl x
PS. I forgot to mention my namesake Beryl, as it was on her site that I found out about the pearlescent glue. I had not heard of it before. So, of course seeing the wonderful effect I just had to go buy some. I'll send you the bill later Beryl rfol :) Do pay her a visit as she does some amazing work

I've Won

Hi, I have just discovered that I won CrafyAnn's Challenge Blog's very first challenge. If you haven't seen this challenge blog, to take a look at Ann and her DT's cards, they are spectacular. The 2nd challenge started yesterday and it runs for two weeks, so please try and enter, the more the merrier

I am thrilled to bits to be the winner of Ann's first challenge, especially as she was so helpful to me when I first started my blog. She also has a web site where she sells some of her amazing digi stamps and background papers.

Of course I must also say a big thank you to the Random Number Generator Thingy for picking my number lol

Not been around much this week as having a few back probs again, but it is slowly beginning to improve so hope to be around later this week. Thanks for visiting

All that glitters

Good Afternoon, I have managed to get one card to fill three challenges again. Papertake Weekly - Digi Sparkle; Cute Card Thursay - Glitter Me Silly and finally I have followed the sketch for DU2DS.

The image is a download from Charmed Cards & Crafts and I have cheated by using a ready coloured one. However, I am dead pleased with myself as, after playing around for a few days, I have discovered how to cut out an image with my Craft Robo. My cutting is dreadful. Think I should have used a narrower border, but I'll know for next time. I have mounted the image onto silver glitter paper and added some Stickles on the dress and cape. The bp is from Funky Fairys, everything else, card squares, glittery flowers and gems are all from my stash.

Thank you so much for dropping by and for leaving such wonderful comments. Beryl x

Just Made It

I returned home from a trip to visit family a week ago today, and this is the first card I have managed to make. It is for three challenges, Sketch Saturday, Rainbow Lady and Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog.

First of all I have just made Rainbow Lady's challenge by the skin of my teeth as it ends tonight, her challenge being for an Anniversary Card. Crafty Ann is hosting a brand new challenge and her challenge is for a celebration card. Do take a look at Crafty Anns Website she is selling some fabulous digi stamps and papers, also pop by her challenge blog too, her own card for this challenge is great and so the the cards of her design team, and finally I have followed Sketch76 for Sketch Saturday. Again apologies for the pic, I tried to use the camera and I got too much shine from the glitter card so used my phone, which doesn't work very well.

The image is from Crafter's Companion Everyday CD, the bp is Funky Fairys. The glitter card, black card, silver card, hearts and ribbon all came from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Thank you for visiting and if you wish to leave a comment please do, I really appreciate every one.

Frosty the Snowman

Todays card is for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant, this week it's a brilliant sketch. The image is 'Frosty' from Judikins and coloured with Copics, the bp is from last years DCWV Glitter Stack and the blue card is Cordinations. The snow flakes were cut with a Cuttlebug Die out of some old glitter paper that I had in my craft box. I'm afraid you will have to bear with me over the quality of the pic, as I said OH has our camera. I did try to scan this to see if I could get a clearer image, but the blues didn't look co-ordinated on the scan so I went back to faffing around with my camera phone.

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you would like to, please leave me a comment. They really make my day. Beryl x

Dancing Hedgie for Christmas

My card today is for Papertake Weekly, this week it is another brilliant sketch - No26. The backing paper is DCWV, left over from last year, the image is from Penny Black's Twelve Days of Christmas Collection and coloured with Copics. Everything else came from my stash - think I've had the stars since I started making cards. Sorry it's not a very sharp pic, but OH has taken the camera on his golf trip, so I had to take it on my phone. Although it is a 5 meg camera it takes about six attempts to get a clear image for some reason or other, this was the best of the bunch today.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting my blog today and for any comments you may wish to make, I appreciate every single one. Beryl

A card for my Mum

My card today is for my daughter to give to my Mum for her 85th birthday next month. As Mum suffers from AMD and Glaucoma I have made the card tactile for her by using feathers and a tassel!, still she is rather special. The backing papers are from Funky Fairys, and the fan is from Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique CD. I printed off the two small sizes and then layered them on top of each other with foam pads before adding a pearl brad and the tassel.

When I started out with my card I tried to make the fan out of patterned paper from Funky Fairys so that I could enter their challenge of 'No Image', but this idea didn't work and so I resorted to the CD. My card does fit the challenge over at Creative Inspirations, however, which is 'Family' this week.

Thank you for dropping by and please leave a comment, so that I know that you have visited. Every comment I receive really makes my day. Beryl x

3 into 1 does go

Hello, my card today is hopefully going to fill three challenges. I have followed Sketch21 from Sketch and Stash, used the colours required for Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Orange, Yellow, Black or White (I've used both) and finally the challenge over at Ooh-la-la-Creations is to use three shapes on your card. I have used rectangles, circles on the bp and a diamond border punch. The bp is from Funky Fairys and Artylicious, the image is from Charmed Cards and has been coloured with Copics, the gems, flower and mirror card all come from my stash.

Thank you for dropping by and for the wonderful comments you leave, I appreciate every one.

It's been a while again

Well, it's been a while again but here we go with a card today for the Tanda Teaser this week, which is Just for Men. The image on my card comes from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion, there are some great images for men's cards on this CD and it has helped me out quite a lot. The backing paper is Funky Fairys, the offset card is Cordination, the silver mirror and brads come from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated. Sorry the pic is a bit off, but I had to take it from above because of the silver mirror board. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to leave. Beryl x

Christmas is Coming

Today my card is for two challenges, firstly I have followed Sketch72 for Fridays Sketchers and I have added some stars which qualifies my card for Rainbow Lady's Challenge which is for Christmas with the Stars. The image is from Daisy and Dandelion coloured with Copics, the bp's are Daisy and Dandelion and Papermania, text is from a set of clear stamps that I bought from my local craft shop and cannot remember the manufacturer, sorry. The red mirri silk card and stars come from my craft box. Many thanks for stopping by and for any comments which you may wish to make. I really appreciate them thanks.

Messy Rabbit & Friend

Hello again, my card for today fits two challenges. This weeks challenge at My Time to Craft which is Snow Buddies, and I have followed Sketch No20 for Sketch and Stash. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit Christmas Collection for this year and the sentiment is from a set of messages that I bought from my local craft shop and have thrown the packaging away and cannot remember the make. The bp is Daisy and Dandelion and the ribbon, peeloff borders and silver mirror matting all come from my craft box. I have coloured the image with my new Copics, still getting used to them. Thank you for visiting today and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Bethany's Birthday

Hello, my card today is one that I made for my eldest grand-daughter for her 15th birthday last week - the red head in the top family pic. I forgot to take a picture of it, so got her mum to take and send one to me when I discovered that this weeks challenge on Papertake Weekly is for Black and White + One, because this cards fits that challenge very well. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Dancing With Shadows cd, the backing paper is from Artylicious, the card itself and all the matting is my last couple of peices of Tapestry Card, this is a really beautiful embossed card that I got from Joanna Sheen - must get some more. The ribbon came from my stash and I added a bright pink Flora Doodle Peony to finish off. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting my blog and for the wonderful comments you leave, they really make my day. Beryl x

Bad Blogger

Hi Folks, sorry I have been a really bad blogger lately. Not only have I not posted anything new, but also, have not been blog hopping. I have been busy making quite a few cards, but have not taken pics of most of them, and couldn't manage to get any to fit in with challenges.

Today's card is one I made for my youngest grand-daughter who was 2 at the beginning of this month (the little one in the bottom family pic). I used an early Sharon Duncan cd - Candy Girls which I have had for ages and never managed to use. The backing paper, image and flowers all come from the cd, the matting cs and glitter are from my stash and the alphabet is a Sizzlits one. I hope you like it and many thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and leave comments, especially with me being such a bad blogger.

Pretty Lady

I am posting early today because I am going to Aberdeen on the overnight ferry for a couple of days - back on Friday Morning. It's very windy at the moment, and I am hoping that it's not strong enough to cancel the sailing, but it will be bumpy. Got my book, mp3 player, Nintendo ds and travel sickness pills, so it won't be a problem.
Onto today's card which is hopefully for two challenges: Rainbow Lady's Challenge "The Rose" and The Pink Elephant which is a colour challenge this week, Red, Yellow, Black and White. I am hoping that the golden colour on the backing paper will qualify as yellow. The image and backing paper is from The ArtDeco cd from Card Creations+, I love this cd. I have added a spray of red roses and a red ribbon. Everything is mounted onto matt gold card and black, I hope you like my card and thank you so much for dropping by.

Card for a bowler

Today's card is for a bowler. I picked up this Jolly Nation Die Cut decoupage earlier this year at my local craft shop, because my Mum and Step-dad are very keen bowlers and thought they would come in useful. The backing papers are from the Joanna Sheen/Pamela West cd and the background for the bowler is one from the Charmed Cards Girls about Town. Thanks for dropping by today and for any comments you may wish to make. I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

Shopping

Hi, today's card is for a lady who loves shopping! I decided that the Charmed Cards download Girls about Town would be perfect for this. I started by trying to colour in the image and then cut it out - hard work and a couple of disasters lol. I then put my thinking cap on and opened a background and a coloured lady in Paint Shop Pro and managed to marry the two images together without too much hard work. The layout is taken from a sketch for the Joanna Sheen forum August card swap. The papers are Funky Fairys again. I didn't have the right colour ribbon so I coloured some white with a Promarker added Flora Doodles and some sticky gems from my stash and hopefully the lady will love it. Thanks for dropping by today and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Card for a Fisherman

Hi, today's card is one I was asked to make for a fisherman. The images are from a See Dee's set that I have had for ages, coloured in with Promarkers. The bp is Funky Fairys - I love their downloads they are just great and you never run out of your favourite. I hope you like my card and as always many thanks for dropping by and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

A Double First

Unfortunately it's not a 'double first degree', bit too old for that now lol. My card is for Friday Sketchers No.68. The image is Joanna Sheen's Dr.Lofty and it is the first time I have used any of these stamps. I bought the complete set when they were first launched a couple of months back. I have coloured in with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils blended with Sansodor, this is my other first. I have had a few practise runs but most of those have ended up in the bin! The pills and prescription are part of the Doctor Lofty sheet. The papers are Funky Fairy and the contrasting card and gold mirror came from my stash. The text is computer generated. The card is for my uncle who is in hospital after being stung by a bumble bee a couple of weeks back, and appears to be having a delayed allergic reaction. So I thought Doctor Lofty would cheer him up. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you leave. They really make my day. Beryl

Hello, I haven't managed to get a challenge card done today, so I thought I would share this one which I made for a customer last week. As you can see, it's for a 50th Birthday. The image and backing papers are from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Birthdays CD, it's not on her website at the moment, so not sure if she has discontinued it. I have borrowed this from my youngest daughter. I have used the Cuttlebug Birthday Embossing Folder on copper Stardream for added interest and the matting and layering is all copper stardream and gold mirrorboard. Thank your for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

Just in time

Hi, I have just managed to scrape into Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is to use acetate on our projects. I have stamped the butterfly onto acetate and glittered its wings, I have then added flat backed black pearls for the body. I am combining this challenge with Sketch66 for Sketch Saturday. The image is Judikins, bp is Artylicious and everything else is from my craft box. I'm sorry the pic isn'tr very clear, not sure what happened. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

Oranges and Lemons

Hi, I am hoping my card will qualify for the SketchandStash No.18 this week. I haven't got anything brand new on my card but I have used my latest Cute Daisy May which I have only used once before, coloured with Promarkers, and my Martha Stewart punch is also quite new. The forgotten stash is the jewelled brads which I have had for well over a year. I printed some card with a Funky Fairys design and the patterned paper is Papermania. Thank you so much for visiting today, and for any comments you may wish to make. Every one is very much appreciated. Beryl x

Floral Fantasy

My card for today fills the challenge set by Tanda Teaser this week, which is Floral Fantasy. When I saw the topic I looked out my Joanna Sheen CD of the same name. I decided to go with this image of butterflies (yet again!) and daisies and it's co-ordinated bp. I matted the bp onto a piece of card which I had printed using a Funky Fairys download. I Cuttlebugged a piece of this card and added some ribbon and adhesive gems from my stash and used this to offset the main image. Thank you for visiting my blog and also for leaving me such wonderful comments. They really make my day. Beryl x

A different butterfly

Hi folks, well things must be looking up cos this is my fourth post in five days!! I've got another butterfly today and my colours are very similar to yesterdays too. The card is for my best customer, his niece is going to be 21 next month. I have followed the sketch from Papertake Weekly for this card. The papers are from my Graphicus Guild set and the stamp is from Elusive Images. I stamped and embossed onto a piece of card that I had coloured with alcohol inks during a play session a while back, it was sitting in my off cuts box and I noticed it matched with a section of my paper. The ribbon and mounting cardstock are from my craft box. Many thanks for visiting my blog. Beryl x

Blue and Green should ne'er be seen

Hello, my card today is for the challenge over at Cute Daisy May which is Blue and Green, once upon a time it was said that these two colours "should ne'er be seen without a colour in between" I have always loved the combination. I have used one of the CDM digi Stamps and coloured with Promarkers. I have used offcuts of Lapiz Stardream to mount the image and the papers are from Funky Fairys. Everything is mounted onto silver mirror board. The ribbon came from my stash and I finished off by adding a Flora Doodle. Many thanks for continuing to support my blog, it means a lot to me as do all of the comments you leave. Beryl x
I have just realised that my cards fits the bill over at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp, where the colour combo is Blue, Green and White or Cream. This my first entry for this challenge. B x

Strawberry Tea

Hello again I've managed to fill another challenge with a card for one of my customers. This card follows the sketch for Sketch Saturday, Sketch No.65. The image is a Sugar Nellie Stamp coloured with Promarkers. The cardstock is all from Funky Fairys and I have had the backing paper for so long that I can't remember where it came from. The ribbon was a magazine freebe ages ago and the flowers are punched from the same cardstock and I added sticky back gems to the centres. As you can see I finally got my Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch. I hope you like my card and once again thank you for visiting and leaving me such great comments. I appeciate every single one. At Last!

Hi Folks, not been around lately as I haven't been able to get going again for some reason. My card is for this week's Tanda Teaser which is for a gatefold card. My neighbour asked me to make her an Anniversary card for her hubby. The image and backing paper are from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Gardens CD, I have had this set since it's launch and this is the first time I have used it. I printed the image onto inkjet canvas and matted with gold mirror board, the heart embellishment came from my craft box. I hope you like my card and many thanks you for visiting my blog, especially as I haven't been posting or blog hopping for a while. Beryl x

Bethany's Fairies

Hi, I have been crafting with my eldest grand-daughter - she is the one in the pic with red hair and glasses. She wanted to try some Encaustic Art so I gave her the wax and irons to play with. This is one of her pieces, we then got the stamps out and she stamped and coloured these Elusive Images Fairies and we thought they would look really good on her wax picture. Thank you for visiting and could you please take the time to leave a comment, because she will be thrilled if you do. Beryl x

Corners

This will probably be my last post for a week, as I have my eldest daughter and her three children coming to visit so will not have time to play. I have made this card for Rainbow Lady's Challenge which this week is 'Corners' The image is a stamp from Crafty Individuals stamped onto glossy card which has been coloured with Tattered Rose and Tea Dye Distress Inks and mounted onto Copper Stardream and glossy card coloured with the same inks. The card is Opal Stardream it looks white in the scan, but in real life it is a gorgeous clotted cream colour.I have stamped the corners with a Clarity Stamp and embossed with copper embossing powder. Thank you for visiting my blog. Beryl x

Three in One

My card today is for three challenges. Papertake Weekly Sketch No.20, My Time to Craft - Floral Frenzy and Funky Fairys - Thinking of You. The bp and pale pink cs are both Funky Fairy Dowloads, The image I received in a stamped image swap recently and I have no idea who makes it. I coloured the image with Promarkers, and matted it onto a piece of purple Stardream with some stick on pearls, to finish off I added a die cut ribbon slide tied with white satin ribbon and a peel off butterfly stuck onto the same holographic card that the buckle was cut from. Thank you very much for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to make, I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

A second post for today

Looks like I'm finding my missing mojo, so here is a second post for today. Again I have stuck with a Christmas theme, this is for The Pink Elephant Challenge which is a sketch. I like the sketch challenges because I do have problems with layouts occasionally. I have unearthed Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit, from Joanna Sheen, for this card. He is coloured with watercolour pencils and matted onto dark red card and silver mirri. I have used the same card for matting the bp and the crossway's strip required by the sketch. The bp is another one left from last year, punched silver glitter snowflakes and a foiled sentiment from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Paper Pack complete the card. Thank you very much for visiting and I appreciate any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Sketch and Stash

I decided to try making some Christmas Cards to get me out of my block, this one went quite well so hopefully this will work for me. The card is for the Sketch and Stash Challenge No.15. The stamps are the new part of this challenge they are from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Set, the neglected part are the backing paper and brads, they are left over from last Christmas, the dark cs came from my stash box. I coloured the image with Promarkers and watercolour pencils. I couldn't find my fluffy stuff so I used the Sakura clear glitter pen for all the white bits. I couldn't find a red ink pad in my box to match with the reds on the card so I tried with the Promarker used on the image - and it worked really well. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Got Lucky

I got lucky this week with Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Wheels. I have had this topper made for ages and never found a use for it. The image is from Stamp Addicts as is the Checkered Flag, which is stamped onto shrink plastic, and I have no idea what I coloured in with, but looking at the finish it wasn't Promarkers. The cardstock and papers are from my stash. I made the card a couple of weeks ago for my DD to send to her Grandad at the beginning of next month. Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you like my card. Beryl x

25th Wedding Anniversary

My card for today is one I made recently for a 25 Wedding Anniversary, before my block! I am entering it into the Tanda Teaser Challenge this week, which is 'Easy Elegance'. It was an easy card to make and I think it's elegant - but then again I'm biased lol. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Dancing With Shadows cd, cut out and mounted onto silver mirror board with my nesties, the number was cut from a 'bug alphabet and the names computer generated onto Safmat, cut and mounted like the main image. The bp is Artylicious and the flowers are cut down rose sprays from Joanna Sheen. The ribbon came from my craft bow. I hope you like my card and many thanks for your visit and any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Almost a challenge

This card has taken me about three days to make, it's for my grandson's 5th birthday. I kept changing my mind on the layout. I tried a few sketch challenges and nothing seemed to work. In the end it almost resembles Sketch Saturday No.60, but I digressed a bit so not sure if it is acceptable now. The bp's are all downloads from Funky Fairies, the dark cs came from my craft box, the stamps are from the Woodware Pirate set, and the matts are Nestie labels. I coloured in using Promarkers, the name and numbers are from a 'bug alphabet. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting, your continuing support is greatly appreciated. Beryl x

Cardmakers Block!

Hi, I seem to have got cardmaker's block again. Nothing seems to be coming together, so I thought I would post a card I made a couple of weeks back. It's for my Stepdad's birthday next month. The stamp is from a U-mount plate 'Travel', stamped with black Versafine and embossed with clear ep, onto a background of Glimmer Mist and Cosmic Shimmer. The bp is Artylicious and the cs is from my craft box. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting my blog.

Two in one

Hi, my card today is for two challenges once again. I have followed Sketch59 for Sketch Saturday and secondly my card fills the challenge at My Time To Craft which is 'Music to My Ears'. I am trying to use up some co-orinating papers that I have had kicking around for the past 3 or 4 years I can't remember the make, sorry. The cs is Core'dinations. The image is from Elusive Images and I have stamped it onto glossy card that has been speckled with alcohol inks. Many thanks for visiting my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. Each and every one is truly appreciated. Beryl x

Sketch and Script

Wow a second card today. This one is for two challenges Sketch No14 for Sketch and Stash, the new item is the Stamp from Crafty Individuals and the neglected item is the white ribbon, I bought it ages ago and have never used it cos I think a coloured ribbon is much nicer than the white. The second challenge is for Rainbow Lady who wants 'Script' on your cards. I have used the Cuttlebug Script Embossing folder and there is also some script on the stamp. The image has been stamped onto a background that I made myself. I put a few of drops of Stampin Up ink, Lavender Lace and Pretty in Pink, onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water and mixed in a touch of Cosmic Shimmer, then added a piece of glossy card to the mix, it doesn't show up very well in the pic. I stamped the image in black Versafine and then embossed with clear ep. I got the inspiration for this from Frankie of Dragonsweb, do take a look at her blog because she has a knack with mixed media pieces that I have only dreamed of. The bp is Artylicious, the flower was free with a Craft Mag a couple of months ago. Thank you for taking the time to look at my card and for any comments that you may wish to make. Beryl x

Driving Test

My card to share today is for Sketch No.60 from Friday Sketchers. It's for my neighbour to give to her granddaughter who passed her driving test yesterday. The stamp is from Crafters Companion Girls set, which I have coloured with Promarkers. The flowers are the little ones that fill up peel off sheets, coloured with peel off pens. All of the cardstock came from my craft box, I have had it for ages. It doesn't show on the pic, but I have stippled around the car with a pale pink ink to take away the stark white. Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make.

An 18th Birthday

My card today, as you can see, is for an 18th birthday. It's very minimal because the recipient isn't into 'girly' things. I have used Gold Stardream card, the 18 is from the Cute Companions number rubber stamps, the paper is from a Papermania 12 x 12 pack and the fibre came from my craft box. I don't really like it very much, but the customer likes it. Thank you so much for stopping by and for the comments you so kindly leave. Beryl x

Hot Colours

Today's card is for two challenges: firstly I followed Sketch 58 from Saturday Sketchers, and secondly for this week's Cute Daisy May Challenge which is Hot Colours. The bp is Artylicious, cs is C'ordinations, image is from Cute Daisy May coloured with Promarkers, A Flora Doodle and the gems and small flowers came from my stash. I hope you like my card and many thanks for paying a visit to my blog, it is through your lovely comments and encouragement that I have managed to get back into my cardmaking again, following a severe loss of my mojo. Two in One

Hi, my card to share with you today fills two challenges. Friday Sketchers 59 and Cute Card Thursday with requires some stitching on your card. The image is Daisy from the Sugar Nellie range, I love this little girl and she has stitching on her top and trousers. I have coloured her using Promarkers. The bp is from my Graphicus Guild pack and the cs is C'ordinations. The sentiment is computer generated printed onto Safmat. I have added some more flowers to the sketch and these I think are Papermania, I have had them for ages. I hope you like my card and thank you for dropping by and for the lovely comments you leave.

My First Christmas Card

Today's card is for 2 challenges. Papertake Weekly which is another great sketch from DawnyP and Rainbow Lady's Challenge which is 'Christmas with a Pet', so now I have my first Christmas Card for this year. I have used an image from Charmed Cards of Dottie and George Carol Singing with their cat. I coloured the image with ProMarkers. The bp is a download from Funky Fairies, the cs is from a mixed pack of C'ordinations, the sentiment is computer generated and I have added a flora doodle as an emblishment. I hope you like my card and thanks you for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you leave. Beryl
ps: apologies for the quality of the pic, I should have left it until tomorrow when the light would have been better.

I've been playing

As I have been having problems getting going with my cardmaking since returning from holiday at the beginning of May, I have spent a few days stamping and colouring in. Then I decided to get my wax and iron out and played around with that. Whilst blog hopping this morning I found the My Time to Craft Challenge this week was for No Patterned Paper. I went and seached through all the bits of encaustic art I have been doing and then all of my stamping and colouring in bits. I discovered these two pieces which I think match up quite well. The stamp is a Sugar Nellie one and coloured in with Inktense Pencils. The image and encaustic piece are matted onto silk mirri card. The sentiment is computer generated onto Safmat and the flower was a freebe from Cardmaking and Papercraft a few months ago. I hope you like my card and thank you for still visiting even though I have been AWOL so much.

Sunflowers

Hi Folks, decided to put in an appearance again. Today I've had a go at my first challenge since returning from holiday at the beginning of May. I have made a tag for the first time. It's for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week which is Sunflowers. I have had this stamp for ages and have never actually used it apart from playing. I got it from e-bay after seeing it in a rubber stamping book and I don't know which company it came from. I stamped the tag with a brown ink and then coloured in with Inktense Pencils. I have done the bee's wings with the clear Sakura Glitter pen. To finish I attached a piece of green organza ribbon. Sorry it's not a very good pic, couldn't get the light right as the sun is streaming in through the windows, so I kept getting shadows where I didn't want them.
I hope you like my tag and thank you for visiting my blog.
