Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for this weeks Less is More - A One Layer Card - Seeing Double. I have made two cards and both of them after many trials and tribulations that I won't bore you with, needless to say I now have lots of white card for stamping on!! Both of these do have faults, but I am not wasting any more card today. I am not totally happy with the words on the first card, and I discovered an inky mark on the second after I took the pic. The bauble images are from Papermania, I coloured the first one with a Flexmarker and the second one with a Promarker.
I didn't get the stamp in the right position for the second one so coloured a piece of white ribbon with the same Promarker to balance the card. It also hasn't got a sentiment because my printer has started throwing up inky marks for some reason or other, so that wasted a bit more card.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting

ReplyDeleteoh wow hun, these are gorgeous you are so good at CAS really amazing, hugs cherylxx
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards Beryl, love the bauble stamps. Carol x
ReplyDeleteBeryl these are lovely! I like the second one which is not an "expected" colour for Christmas and of course the beauty of discovering the ink mark after the piccie is that now you can cover it up and you still have a fab card that is light to post:)

I'm sorry things didn't go the way you wanted with these cards Beryl, I think I'm having one of those days today!
ReplyDeleteThese look fine to me, although I do agree about the positioning of the second card baubles, I think I may have been tempted to put a sentiment on that side of the card rather than a ribbon, but that is purely my humble opinion!
Thank so much
Chrissie

They are both gorgeous - I also have lots of 'stamping card'!!! It was one of my first attempts at 'masking'.

I too often waste a lot of card doing the one layer cards but both of yours really are lovely. Great bauble stamps and I like that you haven't used traditional christmassy colours. xx
ReplyDeleteI think both your cards are beautiful, hugs meadie x x

Lovely cards Beryl. Great colours and love the bauble stamps. My printer has started throwing out random speckles of ink too, it's very annoying! Lisa x
ReplyDeleteThe baubles look great doubled. We all have days like this but i think your results are just fine. x
ReplyDeleteMy mojo runs away frequently Beryl

My printer almost always does something wacky! I think these cards turned out lovely and using the dyed ribbon to balance worked great.
ReplyDeleteYou sound as if you've had a right old time Beryl - inky printers are a real nightmare and I hope you find the problem. Your cards are lovely - I especially like the first with the thinner style of bauble. Vx
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely. I really like those ornaments! Ann
ReplyDeleteI do like a good bauble stamp, yours are marvelous and would love to know where you found them please.
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards and i would have put a sentiment instead of ribbon too. There are some lucky people out there who will be receiving one of your xmas cards, i think they will love them:-)
These are lovely Beryl, I love the colours you've used especially the yellow :0
ReplyDeleteThis is the trouble with one layer cards, you just have to go with it...no room to hide mistakes, that's why I'm nervous with my colouring on OLC :)

Two great cards, my fav. is the first one.

Hi Beryl, Ah Christmas, I just love it and your cards are so lovely, I'm sad it didn't go quite how you planned but I think they both turned out great:0) Thanks for your kind wishes, Gay xxx
ReplyDeleteFab cards Beryl. Love the baubles. It's so annoying when you get dirty marks on your lovely white card. That's the only problem with doing CAS cards, every speck of ink spoils the whole thing. Sue.x
ReplyDeleteBoth fab cards love them both.
ReplyDeleteAt least no one sees the waste bin ay?
