Good Evening. My card to share today is for the challenge over at
CD Sunday Get ahead - Get a Hat. I have gone into
Joanna Sheen's American Frontier CD for the image and backing paper. When I picked the image I thought is was black and white, but after printing I realised it has some sepia tones. I found some brown card with a lovely gold sheen to use for the matting. I started out with gold mirror card and thought it was too bright for the image. I remembered that I bought some matt gold and silver card from ebay and was a bit disappointed with it when it arrived, I dug it out of the cupboard and discovered it was just what I needed. The sentiment was computer generated. I feel that there is something lacking on the card, but can't think what - any suggestions will be gratefully received.

ReplyDeleteHi Beryl, love the card and image. This is an underused cd in my house and it has some very useful images on it. I like the card and think it's fine as it is, sometimes less is more as they say. If I were to put anything on it maybe I would add a small feather or two. Thanks for joining in with us at CD Sunday.

I don't think there is anything lacking at all Beryl - I love the image and I think it would be wrong to detract from that . The backing paper is perfect just patterned enough but subtle.

Hi Beryl. A lovely striking card and very manly. If I was to add anything I also think I would use a feather or feathers but it does look great as it is.

Isn't it great when you actually get to use something that you thought was a mistake when you bought it. The moral is - buy everything you can!
ReplyDeleteI don't think your card is lacking anything. It's a great image, the bp tones well with it and the overall design is lovely. I'm sure Ellis will love it.
