Bah Humbug

After falling by the wayside last year with the Bah Humbug Challenge I am going to try and keep up this year.  Again I am not happy with the photo of my card but after taking about eight pics I gave up and this will have to do, even though the holly berries don't show up very well.  The challenge this week is to use a doily, as I don't have any doilies I improvised using a multifunction punch that I bought ages ago and have never used before.  It will punch borders, two sizes of circle and ovals, I can't remember the make. I hope this will be acceptable.   I am also entering my card into the My Time To Craft Challenge which this week is 'Going Around in Circles'

The bp is Funky Fairies, the sentiment was computer generated, the ribbon and gems came from my stash.

  1. Hi Beryl, Your card is lovely, but I know how you feel, as I was like you and just thought its not my usual type of card. But Hey-ho its a challenge after all. Hugs Rita xx

  2. What a gorgeous little card Beryl. I love your punch cut doily. Funny enough I have just thrown out my punch like that as it was ironically a mulfunction from the start. Neither DH or myself could get it to work, it looked like it was broken. I kept meaning to take it back and left it to late as the shop has now closed down where I bought it.

    Your card is smashing.

  5. of course it's acceptable Beryl and a very scrummy card it is too. The doilie looks brill over the gold and I think you have done an amazing job with the punch. I tried to use some Fiskars circular ones that I have but oh dear me what a disaster. Mind you I struggle to line border punches up - think I need a workshop on this alone.

  9. This is a gorgreous card Beryl and shows that you don't have to use a proper doily, I have a similar punch but don't use it very often.

  11. Your punched doily is beautiful and the berries show up fine in the enlarged image. The addition of the graduated pearls is a lovely finishing touch. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!
