Feeling Fruity

Good Evening, First off this evening I have to say ahuge thank you to all my blogging friends who left get well wishes during this past week.  My Labrynthitis is under control most of the time, but I do have the odd dizzy spell, I am still taking the tablets!

I've got two cards to share today and they are both for this week's Less is More Challenge - Feeling Fruity, to use fruit or fruit colours on our cards.  I have made two cards using digi stamps by CraftyAnn, there is a third image I was playing with - apples on a plate - but I got bogged down getting these two finished.  I'll maybe have another attempt later in the week using that  image.

Card Number 1  - the image was coloured with Promarkers using the new fine tips, the cuttlebugged card is another Crafty Ann product, this from her  Polished Stone collection,  The sentiment was printed directly to the base card.

Card No.2 - the image was coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils and blended with Sansador.  The cs is from the new colour co-ordinated Papermania range, the sentiment was again printed directly onto the base card.  I didn't have a toning ribbon, so I coloured this gorgeous satin and organza ribbon (white) with a Promarker.  I added a few drops of Glossy Accent to the apples, but it doesn't show up very well, especially on the Promarker apple.

Thank you so much for visiting

Santa's Coming

Hi Folks, my card to share today is for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Lace.  I didn't have any real lace that matched my card so I used Martha Stewart's Lace Doily punch.  The image, I think, is from a very old and possibly discontinued Joanna Sheen unmounted Christmas Sheet, stamped with Adirondack Cranberry. The papers are left over from a Christmas paper pack that I bought a couple of years ago and I think it was a Daisy and Dandelion set.  The ribbon and flowers and leaves came from my stash.

I am also entering my card into these challenges
Crafty Creations - Christmas in July
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in July
Crafty Catz - Christmas in July
Jules Crafty Snippets - everything came from my scraps box, apart from the flower and leaves, so I hope it will qualify

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.

Handmade Flowers

Hi Folks,  my card to share today is for Rainbow  Lady's Challenge - Handmade Flowers.  The lovely Caroline has a free digi up for grabs to use for this challenge.  I printed the flower onto a gorgeous gold shimmer paper, can't remember where I got it though and have run out of the silver sheen one.  The leaves were punched from some cs from my offcuts box and I put a little flower gem in the centre of the flower.

I decided to make a LIM type card today and chose some cream and brown tapestry card and I found an bit of ribbon in my box that matched the flower perfectly.  I printed the sentiment directly onto the card.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for stopping by

And Finally

Hi folks, yeah I have finished my last card for Stuart, the one from his Mummy.  As I mentioned on his second card he is well into Formula 1 and Sebastian Vettel in particular.  I went to the Red Bull Racing site and they had downloadable free wallpaper, so the image on the card is a section of this.  I tried originally to make the backing paper from another piece of  the free wallpaper but the colours didn't work, so I went to my trusty Cuddly Buddly folder and sure enough I found some papers that work.    I cut the matts with my Craft Robo, quite pleased with the result  - but boy did I waste a lot of card lol.  To get the scalloped edge I drew one big circle and then spent ages putting little circles all round the edge to form the scallops, wasn't to pleased with the result.  Then I had a Eureka moment and decided to try scanning a real nestie and it worked.  I asked Crafty Ann for some help because she is a whizz with the Robo and she has given me a link to a U-Tube tutorial, so hopefully I will be able to make different shaped matts in future.....Thanks Ann.

I have followed Sketch58 over at Papertake Weekly

I hope you like my tribute to Mr. Vettel and many thanks for visiting

Two cards

Hi folks, I've got two cards to share today, they are both the same image but in different colourways and layouts.  The reason for the two is that I have spent the day colouring in using a tip/tutorial from Jak of Crafter's Kitchen, I am sure you all know who I mean.  The tip was about using the Promarker blender pen for shading. I have always had a problem with shading and have tried many times to replicate some of the shading that a lot of you do so beautifully and always failed badly.   After following Jak's tips I have sort of managed to shade, I still have a long way to go, but here is my two best efforts today - a lot have gone in the bin lol.  I think the blue card is the better one.

The image is Fred She Said as is the bp on the blue card, the bp on the Red card is Cuddly Buddly, everything else is from my stash.

My card's are for the following challenges:
Rainbow Lady - Pets
Passion for Promarkers - Animal Antics
Bah Humbug - Beads ... the beads are on the blue card.

Thanks for dropping by and all of your comments  are very welcome

A second card for Stuart

Good Evening, first of all I must say a big thank you to all of my new followers and to everyone who has left comments with get well wishes.  Still a bit dizzy but I did manage to make a card today, it is the second of three cards for my grandson Stuart's 7th birthday - this one is from his sisters.  Last year at school all of the children is his class were given a team to follow in the World Cup.  Stuart ended up with Germany and ever since he has had a thing about all things German.  He is well into F1 and was most put out yesterday when Sebastian Vettel didn't win lol.  I have  made today's card in the colours of the German flag - red, black and yellow - and looked up the football strip that the German team wore for the World Cup and copied it as closely as I could.  The image is from Cuddly Buddly coloured with Promarkers, those new tips are really brilliant.  The bp was one I found at the bottom of a big box of papers, I cut the number 7 on my Craft Robo using the Cut n Paste font that I used for the sentiment.

I have followed Sweet Sketch Wednesday No.111.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting

Dreams

Good afternoon, recently I had a very productive spell and managed to take pics of all the cards I had made.  Which is good because I have a load of card pics in a folder that have never been on my blog and am now able to enter into an occasional challenge whilst not being able to craft easily at the moment.  Once again a very short post, as I am spinning around a bit, I tried to watch the Grand Prix earlier - not a good idea!

My card  is for this week' CD Sunday Challenge - Dreams.  The image comes from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD, I love the images on this one.  The full size bp is from an different image on the same CD, but I took it into a graphics programme and lightened it.  The offset bp is Cuddly Buddly, the butterflies are a Cuttlebug cut and emboss set and were cut from some card painted with very cheap Tesco pearlescent paint, the ribbon was coloured with a Promarker and the ribbon slide came from Wild Orchids.

Less is More - Recipe

Hi folks, not been around all week as I am suffering from Labrynthitis which causes vertigo.  So, I have not been able to do much.  We were supposed to be going to a Wedding Reception this evening and I haven't felt up to making the card.  I already knew that I wouldn't be fit to go, but Robert had said he would go, so I spent the entire day trying to make a card. He came home from work and said that he wouldn't be going as he is a bit tired after a 12 hour shift - men!

I decided that I was going to make a card for this week's Less is More Challenge - use a button or ribbon (or multiples).  As you can see I have made a monogram card for Mary and Daniel.  This card is about the 12th version, but sorry I can't go into detail because using the computer aggravates labrynthitis and I would be here all night trying to post.  I usually like to make wedding cards to match the bride's colour choice, but our invite was just a piece of cream card.  Unfortunately I am out of cream card, so I went with a white pearlised card with a golden shimmer, all of the constrasting card is gold mirri, but it looks black in the picture.  The initials were cut using my CraftRobo everything else is from my stash

I hope I haven't overdone the decoration on my card Chrissie and Mandi and that it still is Less is More
Apologies for not being able to visit many Limettes this week, unless the Labrynthitis goes quickly

Less is More - Circles

Good Afternoon, my card today is for this week's Less is More Challenge - Circles.  My snowman was cut with a Cuttlebug Die that I have had for ages and never used.  It was a bit time consuming cutting out all the bits in the different colours. I used some textured white card for the snowman to give a bit of dimension.  In the pic the colour added to the white nestie looks pink, in real life it blends in with the red nestie perfectly. The sentiment was printed directly from the computer.

By making Christms cards for challenges my box is beginning to fill up nicely, not sure that I will make many like this one though, because it was very fiddly glueing all the little bits in place and the air was quite blue at times lol.

As all of the elements of my card came from my scap box I am going to enter my card into Jules Crafty Snippet Challenge

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting.

A Blue Christmas

Good Evening, my card today is for this weeks Bah Humbug Challenge - Shapes.  I have used Spellbinders Labels to make my card, but I have no idea which number.  The image is from Penny Black and coloured with Promarkers, because it is a small card I decided to keep to shades of blue, the bp is from Fred She Said and the sentiment is computer generated.

Many thanks for visiting my blog

A Stitch in Time

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - A Stitch in Time.  This was a dead easy card, the image and bp come from  a Papermania Christmas pad complete with ready made faux stitching, I have no idea where it came from as I certainly didn't buy as a one off, it must have come from a goody bag.  The cuttlebugged card is Papermania Shimmer, the snowflakes and stars are from the same piece of card, with just enough left over for whatever sentitment I decide to put on it - probably a little girl's name.

I am also entering my card into  Crafty Ann's Challenge  - Dry Embossing:  Crafty Sentiments - Use Stitching:

Handbags

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for the challenge at CD Sunday - Handbags.  The image is made up from three stamps which I think are Elusive Images now Chocolate Baroque, I have had them for ages.  Took quite a while to get the arrangement just right, lots of masking.  I have coloured using Promarkers and the new fine tips were just brilliant to pick up the tiny flowers.  The backing paper is from Card Creations+ Art Deco cd, the plain bp is from CraftyAnn, the flowers, leaves, pearls and hatpins from my stash, the sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting and leaving me such lovely comments.

Meeces

Good Afternoon,  Whilst blog hopping this afternoon I visited fellow blogger Pat and she had made a card for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Meeces!  I said that I wouldn't be able to enter as didn't have any mice images.  Then I decided to go searching and I found this fabulous digi image at Cuddly Buddly.  I printed it directly onto the white cardstock and coloured with my Promarkers.  Have any of  you discovered the fabulous new fine nibs to clip onto the end of your Promarkers, they are brilliant you can get into all the small fiddly places without going over your lines.  They were perfect for the holly and stars on this image and I also attached one to my blender pen to try and get some texture on the meeces, doesn't show up very well.  Which is a good thing cos I need a lot more practice in this department. lol.  Joanna Sheen did have some of these  nibs as do Letraset.

I am also making a second entry into this weeks LIM challenge - A One Layer Card - Something with Legs.

Thank you for stopping by and for the lovely comments you leave

Less is More Time!

My card to share today is for this week's Less Is More Challenge - One Layer Card - Something With Legs.
I printed the double frame and sentiment in Craft Artists, in medium grey,   and then stamped the image inside the frame with Versamark and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver ep.  I couldn't get a very good picture as it is so dull today, I did all the things I normally do to get the best possible light and used Picassa to try to improve things, but even that didn't want to play today.  So the final pic looks more like a black and white card and not grey and silver. The stamp is one I bought last year from Imagination Crafts to use for last Christmas, but never took it of it's packaging!!!  I used an A5 card because the frame took up too much space on a square one.  I am not overly happy with the result and will probably make another at some point this week.

Thank you for visiting today.

New Home

Good Evening, my card to share today is a New Home card that a friend asked me to make.  It is a  Less is More card as this is the type of card she likes.  The image has been made up by using Clarity Stamps - house and birds;  Stampscapes - Foreground and trees.  I used various ink pads and Copics to colour the image.  The sentiment was computer generated and the key embellishment came from my stash.

Bah Humbug

Good Evening, a second post today because I am cutting it fine to get my card into this weeks Bah Humbug Challenge - Acetate.  The image is from Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kincade Christmas cd, printed onto acetate, then attached to a piece of white card with brads, I then used a glue pen and glitter to add a bit of Christmas Sparkle.  The bp is from the Artylicious Christmas Greetings cd.  The silver ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated. Sorry the pic is a bit pale and the bp looks almost white, it is actually pink with snowflakes on it.

I am also entering my card into the challenges at:
CD Sunday - Christmas is Calling
CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Pink and/or Purple

From my Scrap Box

Good Morning, my card to share today is for Sketch65 over at Sketch and Stash.  The new items on my card are the flowers, they arrived from Wild Orchids on Monday, everything else is from my scrap box. I found a forgotten piece of square gold mirri with the bp already stuck onto it and that decided the rest of the card.  I think the bp is from Card Creations+ Art Deco cd but am not absolutely certain. The image is Willow Designs and was sitting already coloured  with Copics in my toppers box., the matting and corners are from a scrap of CraftyAnn's Polished Marble bp. Not sure what the cuttlebugged card is, I just found it in a little basket  filled with embossed bits. Isn't it surprising what you can find in the various boxes and tubs that we all have sitting around our crafting space.

Feeling Blue!

Good Afternoon fellow bloggers.  Been awol for over a week, life and tennis seem to have gotten in the way of crafting and I have not made one card since my LIM sketch card over a week ago.  So now the tennis is finished I have given my self a stiff talking to and here is my entry into this week's  Less is More Challenge - Colour Blue.  This one was dead easy as I already had the topper made, a couple of weeks back I sat and stamped out this image and another one of my faves in different coloured inks and mounted them onto corresponding cs ready for any last minute requests.  The image is Penny Black - Letters and Flowers, I can't remember what ink pad I used, and the sentiment is computer generated and mounted onto the same blue cs as the image

Sorry for my absence and I hope to get back to visiting you all very soon.    I hope you like my card and thanks for visiting.
