Good Morning. Today's card is for this week's Bah Humbug Christmas Challenge, which is Vintage. I don't do vintage very well, don't even own any lace to put on a card, so I have used Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion for the image and matching bp. I printed the image onto inkjet canvas and printed the bp onto cream paper. The corner is from a cuttlebug die as is the sentiment, which was computer generated. The flower and ribbon come from my stash. I hope you like it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

2nd GD Card for Ooh La La
The challenge this week at Ooh La La is A Bow, A Button and Some Bling. I was fine with the the bow and my bling isn't very blingy (?) just some gold coloured pearls, but the button threw me. I tried to stick it onto the bow, but it was too heavy for the organza ribbon so I ended up just putting it onto the stamped sentiment. I don't have many buttons and very rarely use them. I've have just been and checked out the DT's cards and they have been much more artistic with their buttons. Do check out their cards they are gorgeous.
I the image and bp come from the Femme Fatal cd. I used opal Stardream for the base card and didn't want to use anything white on the card, so I printed the bp onto cream paper. The bling, the bow and button all came from my stash.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting me today

Baloon Tree
Well for a change I have managed to get a card made at the start of a challenge and not at the last minute. This is my final card for my Grand-daughter Kayla, this one is from her brother and sister. I started off yesterday following this week's sketch for Papertake Weekly. I had to rotate in because of the image I had decided to use. I've just checked it again and think maybe I have tweaked it a bit too much, sorry ladies. The image is a new stamp that I got from the Clarity Sale, it's called Balloon Tree and perfect for children's cards. I coloured with Copics, using the colours of the flowers in the bp which is from a DCWV 12 x 12 stack that I found in W H Smith at half price, the other bp is Cuddly Buddly. I matted and layered with silver mirror board and some purple lightweight card from my stash. I used the same purple card for the punched border and the number 4. The flower was punched with scraps from my bit box. I am also entering my card into the My Time To Craft Challenge - Kids Kardz! and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge - Celebrations!
I didn't manage to get the card completely finished yesterday, I just needed to add the flower, number and personalise it. This morning I did a bit of blog hopping to check out some Friday Challenges and couldn't believer my luck when I got to CraftyAnn's Challenge. It's a colour combo challenge of Lilac, Pink and Lemon and Kayla's card has all three plus some blue, green and orange so I can enter my card into Ann's challenge as well.
Not quite sure why my text is centred today, it wouldn't left justify for some reason. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for all your support and lovely comments, both are very much appreciated.

Skin of my teeth - again!
Well, here I go again only just getting my card finished hours before the challenge closes - and this one is a two weekly one! The challenge in question is Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog where she asks us to show our creativity by doing something outwith of our comfort zone, a new technique or something we may struggle with. As soon as I saw the challenge two weeks ago I decided to finally get around to making a side step card. I got the instructions from a forum member ages ago and apart from making it up in cheap card to see how it worked I haven't done anything else with it. Until today. I think maybe I should have decided what images I wanted to use instead of picking the colour first, because it has taken me ages to decide how to decorate it. The image is a rubber stamp that I got in a grab bag on ebay a good while ago, stamped in Stazon and coloured with my Copics. The bp are Cuddly Buddly (surprise, surprise!), the other cardstock is from my stash. The rose spray is from Joanna Sheen and the text and butterflies are all Cuttlebug cut and emboss sets. I am quite pleased with the result, but have only just noticed that I have smeared the glue under the rose.
I hope you like my card and thank you very much for dropping by today

Another last minute entry
Doesn't time run away with you when you have a few days off. I haven't stopped since returning home late on Monday afternoon and have only just managed to get my card finished for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Stitching/Faux Stitching. It had to be a quick and easy card due to my timing issues. The embossing folder is from Crafts Too, another purchase at the SECC. I originally intended to emboss the tree a couple of times and then decoupage it, but time ran away with me. I used plain white card to emboss the tree and then glittered, used some silver beads and edged the card with faux stitching. I used my inverted corner punch, then matted onto dark green and silver mirror board from my stash. The backing paper was one I found in my box that I printed for last Christmas. I think it's from Fred She Said, but didn't check before starting this post and OH is on the pc at the moment, so can't get at the file. I put a piece of silver ribbon around the centre of the card.
I hope you like my card and thank you so much for visiting and for the lovely comments you leave.

Nearly out of time
This is my first card since my weekend away and I have only just managed to sneak it in to Rainbow Lady's challenge which finishes tonight. The challenge was to make a fan this week. The image is one of the very first stamps that I bought when I started cardmaking. I think it's from Creative Expressions, but as I have taken it off the wooden block and put it onto Eazi Mount, I can't be completely sure. I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Judikins Twinkling Violet ep onto Cuddly Buddly Patchwork Papers. All of the bp is Cuddly Buddly mounted onto silver mirror card from my stash. I mounted the fan onto a large nestie label. I used my new Martha Stewart punch which I bought at the SECC and finished off with some gems from my stash.
I hope you like my card and thank you so much for dropping by and for your wonderful comments.

Home Again
Well, I'm home again from my weekend visit to my middle daughter and her family in Aberdeen. I had a great time, the highlight of the weekend being a trip to Glasgow to the SECC on Saturday. It's my first visit to a big craft event and I had a fabulous time and spent rather a lot of pennies lol. Doubt if I will manage a card for a couple of days cos I have to take my car into town for a service tomorrow and then catch up on all the horrible things that we have to do after a trip away - especially when we leave our OHs behind to fend for themselves.
Thanks for your good wishes on my GD spot.

Guest Designer
I was recently honoured to be invited to be Guest Designer for March and April for Ooh-la-la Creations. To say that I am thrilled is an understatement. This is my card for this fortnight's challenge which is Freestyle - Anything Goes. The image is from the Ooh-la-la Creations Teentastique CD. I have matted the image onto dark green Cordinations and gold mirror card, the papers are from Cuddly Buddly and also matted onto gold mirror. The central strip is a co-ordinating green from Coredinations and punched both sides with my Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch. The flowers are from my stash and were white until I coloured them with a green Copic pen and the pearl brads are from Papermania. The leaves were punched from some scraps in my box using a Woodware punch.
Do go along to the challenge blog and take a look at the great cards made by the DT, I am really looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your interpretations of the challenge. I hope you like my card.

A Simple Card
This is my card for this week's Bah Humbug challenge, which is Trees and decided to keep it very simple. I actually had it made in plenty of time to post it yesterday, but I as I didn't have a dark blue ribbon I decided to colour some white. I had used Distress Ink in Denim to stamp the image and as I couldn't find a marker the right colour I decided to us the ink pad. I discovered that Distress Inks do not actually work too well because they take so long to dry. I had blue fingers and wasted a couple sheets of card, I even rubbed it with kitchen towel, all to no avail. So decided to leave it overnight, and I still managed to mark the card slightly when trying to put it together, this morning but decided I could cover the inky mark with the toppers. The image is from an unmounted Elusive Images Christmas plate. Sorry there is a bit of shadow on the card, that is because I have got sunshine streaming in throught the windows, which is reflecting off the awful white stuff still lying around, deep and crisp and even.
I am going to enter this card into the SaturdaySpotlight Challenge as well, which is Clean and Simple.
Thank you for visiting today and for any comments which you may wish to make. I appreciate them very much. Beryl x

Teen Texting
Good Grief, the 1st of March, where is this year going? For Today's card I have followed Sketch92 from Sketch Saturday. The image is Teen Texting from Mo Manning, coloured with Copics. The bp is Cuddly Buddly and I couldn't find anything in my box for the extra elements of the sketch, so I took some offcuts of white and coloured them with the same colours that I used for the image. The sentiment is computer generated.
I am also entering my card into The Pink Elephant challenge which is Green this week
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to make. I hope you like my card. Beryl x
