Recycling

Right, Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is to 'recycle' and the new challenge blog Bah Humbug's first challenge is to use something from a shop bought Christmas Card that you have received to make a Christmas Card for 2010. I found the Bah Humbug brief a bit difficult because only two of the cards I received this year had anything stuck on them that I could unstick. So, it was a case of finding a picture that could be cut out, either a single image or the complete pic and this is what I ended up with. The front cover of the card had half the image in a circle and the full image on the inside so I used my circle nesties and cut out both images and I now have a 3d toppern not that it shows up very well. The bp is from Artylicious, everything else is from my stash. The ribbon and peel off greeting were coloured with a Copic Marker. I hope you like my card and thanks for visiting. Beryl x

  5. Well done Beryl your card is lovely - thank you so much for going to all that effort so that you could take part in our first challenge - much appreciated. I found the same thing with this year's cards - there just didn't seem to be as many embellishments on the shop ones. Wonder if that's due to postal charges?!
Anyway brill card - hope you'll be able to join us in future challenges (easier ones hopefully).
    Good luck in the draw.

  7. Well - I don't know which to drool over most - this lovely card or your fab new look blog. Terrific card Beryl and seeing this I think I'll be hanging on to the rest of my Christmas cards and not making them all into tags straight away.

  9. Hi Beryl,
I agree that there were very few reuseable bits'n'bobs on cards but you have done well using that image and creating a 3D topper.
Thank you for supporting us in our new adventure at Bah! Humbug and I hope you will be a regular visitor over the coming year.
