CD Sunday

Good Morning, first of all I must apologise for my blogging absence recently, but I am in the process of turning my craft room back into a living room for the festive period.  I have got so much stuff I can't find homes for everything lol.

Right onto today's card, which is my GDT offering  at CD Sunday which this week is Fifties Fun.  The image is from Debbi Moore's New York CD, the backing paper is from her Snowflake Queen CD. The matting is some gold textured card from my stash which I have Cuttlebugged, the ribbon and flower are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.  In fact the sentiment was changed two days ago as I was asked for an engagement card and decided this would fit the bill nicely and the customer thought so too.

I am looking forward to visiting all of your blogs to see how you all interpret the challenge.

Beyblades

Hi folks,  I seem to have missed a few challenges this week, not sure why.  My card to share today is for the Totally Papercrafts Challenge - Anything But Christmas.  My card is for my grandson who has a birthday on the 21st December, he is into Beyblades at the moment.  The image came from somewhere on the internet, courtesy of  Google, the backing paper is from Boys to Men cd by Ooh La La Creations.  I used Lapis Stardream for the base card, matting, letters and number all die cut with a Sissix alphabet.

A Bit Late

Good Afternoon, I'm a bit late with my Less is More Challenge card, life getting in the way.  Anyhoo Chrissie and Mandi have set a colour challenge this week of Green - my favourite colour.  I have used a Chocolate Baroque stamp inked with Brilliance Perleascent Ivy, the sentiment is from Papermania and stamped with the same inkpad.  I matted with some green scraps from my stash and found a bit of green gingham ribbon loitering in the bottom of my ribbon box.

I am entering my card into Jules Crafty Snippets Challenge 48 - the white and green card are offcuts.

Great News

Good Morning, well at last I can let you all in on some wonderful news.  A couple of months back I was asked if I would like to be a guest design team member for CD Sunday, naturally I jumped at the chance.  But, I wasn't allowed to tell anyone until the big day arrived.  Today is that day and here is my card for the challenge which is Something With Whiskers, and we are being sponsored by Elegant Inspiration, and the image, backing paper and border are all from The Rachelle Anne Miller Collection.  I have matted with Papermania Shimmer card, the flower embellie is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Christmas Bingo

Good Evening, my card today is for Crafty Ann's last challenge of the year and we are playing Christmas Bingo.  I hope that Ann will not be angry with me because I am not using a Christmas card, but one that I have made for my Mum and Stepdad's Ruby Wedding Anniversary which takes place next Sunday, and it fits in with the bottom row of  the grid

I have used Mars Stardream for the base cards and the image and backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy cd.  I forgot to take a pic with the bow undone and the card opened up, but I am sure you have all seen this style of card before.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash, the number has been cut with a Cuttlebug alphabet and the sentiment is computer generated.

Away in a Manger

Hi folks, my card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Christmas Carols.  This was an exceptionally easy card, it is a Christmas Trinitage from the new La Pashe cd The Big One.  The three separate layers don't show up particularly well but looks quite good in real life.  1st layer is the full picture, 2nd layer is cut up to the roof of the stable and the 3rd layer is cut just showing the main characters.  I have used Lapis Stardream for the base card then matted with white and silver.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

Oops late on parade tonight, completely forgot to post my card, which is for the challenge at Ooh La La Creations - Lots of Sparkle.  The image is a Debbi Moore Stamp, coloured with Copics, the bp is from  Papermania Capsule Collection, as is the ribbon. The flower, aurora crystal gems and matting card all come from my stash, the sentiment is computer generated and I added some Stickles Stardust to her bracelets and necklace.  The yellows all look different in the pic, but in real life they do all match, and the gems and Stickles do sparkle. The card is for a friend of my daughter and the only brief was it had to be yellow.

Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

Good Morning, wow am I on the ball today lol.  My card today is for this week's CD Sunday Challenge - On  Safari.  For my card I have chosen this lovely tiger and backing paper from Joanna Sheen's JNM2 cd,  I used a Creative Expressions embossing folder for the offcut of green card, the sentiment was computer generated and I added three little green buttons to finish.

A Little Bit of Sparkle

Good Morning everyone, my card today is for the Less is More Challenge and this week Chrissie and Mandi are asking for Bling.  The image is from Chocolate Baroque, stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Purple and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal ep, as is the sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly.  I added some Aurora Crystal gems to finish.

 The piece of card with the image and the matting layers are all from my scrap box, so I am entering my card into Jules Crafy Snippets ChallengeWeek47, as Jules hasn't posted this week's challenge yet I will adjust the link later today.

Hi folks, my card today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Cards For Men. Bah Humbug!

Hi folks, back from my Christmas Fayre, didn't do too badly at all, I managed to make £54.50 after paying a tenner for my table, am quite pleased.  Especially as there were four or five of us with cards, admittedly most of the others were cards plus other stuff.

I have got a card and box to share tonight, it is for the Bah Humbug Challenge - Bags and Boxes

The first pic is the box for the easel card.  The images are from Debbie Moore's Magical Christmas and the backing paper is from her Regency CD, everything else came from my stash.  The sentiment on the card was computer generated, the one on the box from from the image sheet.  I actually sold this one and have an order for two more.

Up Up And Away

Good Morning been awol for a few days, I've been really busy getting my cards bagged and tagged for the Christmas Fayre in our village on Wednesday night.  I have had a table there twice before, the first time I did really well, but the second time I only made just enough to pay for my table.  That was about 5 years ago, so thought I would dip my toe in the water again.  I want to make a couple of  boxed cards before Wednesday, because these have always gone down well. Sorry in advance if I don't manage to get round to commenting  this week.

Onto today's card.  It is for this weeks Less is More challenge - Silhouettes.  The image is an Heritage stamp which I found in a sale box at our only Craft Shop (25 miles away) a while ago and I have never used it.  The birds are Clarity and the balloon is punched.  The sentiment is a from a birthday greetings set by My Sentiments Exactly.

Two Cards, One Challenge

Hi Folks, my cards today are for this week's CD Sunday Challenge - Paisley Fun.  This had me well and truly stumped, I have a small paisly stamp and was going to make an image using that, but couldn't decide on a cd to use for a nice backing paper to go with it.  Then I discovered some paisly patterned paper that I have had almost as long as I have been making cards!  Next problem,  what image to use. I looked through my file of printed pics  from cds and couldn't find anything that fitted the colours of my paper.  This all took place yesterday!  This morning I remembered that my paisly stamp was from an Asian set of stamps I have had for years, which led me to look at Joanna Sheen's Eastern Treasures CD.  All problems solved.  Because the paisly paper is so in your face I decided to just use a strip of it with a co-ordinating paper, and ended up with two cards instead of one.

Pink with a touch of green

Good Evening, my card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Inspired by the Princettia a plant especially bred for Breast Cancer Awareness.  I have taken the colours of  Pink and Green for my card.  The image is another Lynda Ravenscroft Fairy from the CardCreationsPlus cd, A Touch of Magic this is the Digitalis Fairy.  I have no idea about the backing paper it's a piece that I found in my printed box, the punched card is Papermania Shimmer and I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Leaves

Good Morning, my card today is for the Less is More Challenge - Leaves on  a One Layer Card.  It's a very simple card as you can see, the leaves are from yet another acrylic stamp set that I have absolutely no idea of the manufacturer.  In fact I think it's the first time I have even used it.  I used Big n Juicy Foliage and the sentiment is from a Papermania set.

Sorry about the awful pic, but I used a pearlised card and it didn't take well to being photographed, even Picassa couldn't improve it that much.  The card is much smaller than usual because I ended up getting ink where there shouldn't have been any and as this was the fifth attempt at the card I decided just to cut off the inky bits instead of trying for a sixth time.  I hope to make a better card later in the week

A Late Entry

Good Morning, sorry I've not been around this past few days, the Labrynthitis came back with a vengeance and it has taken a while for the pills to kick in.  I must say a huge thank you to Crafty Ann for my top 3 place on her challenge blog, I am thrilled to bits, especially as this is the third time.

I am posting a very quick and very late Christmas card for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - Sunset.  The card with the backing paper has been sitting around since last Christmas, the paper is from the Artylicious Seasons Greetings cd.  I printed the image from Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kincade cd and made the topper last Monday, so all I had to do to make the card was add some gold ribbon from my stash, then stamp and emboss the sentitment from a Woodward Greetings set.

Frosty the Snowman

Good Morning, my card today is for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Snowmen.  The image is from Judikins and I just love it, coloured with Promarkers and a little bit of sparkle.  I have no idea what the backing paper is, I found it in my Christmas scrap box, the image was stamped onto scrap white card and the snowflakes and stars were cut with a Cuttlebug die using the waste from the base card.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Less We Forget!

Today's card is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - A Time To Remember With Poppies.  The image is from Chocolate Baroque, coloured with a mixture of Promarker and Copics, the backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew CD2.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash and I added some black glitter to the centre of the poppies.

Think perhaps I should have used a different red for the main image, I used the Poppy Promarker, but looking at it now it's seems a bit garish, still it's another card for the box

Fireworks

Well it's Less is More time again and this week is a colour challenge - Red and Orange as a tribute to bonfire night.  I have made two cards today, for the first one I used my Clarity Alium stamps, I picked these because the little stamp looks like rockets going off in the sky.  I used a Kaleidacolor Multi ink pad, Desert Heat, the colours range from orange to red, added some glitter then matted  onto some red scrap card, the sentiment is from Crafty Individuals.

The image for the second card is a Stampendous one, not sure what these flowers are, I used the Desert Heat inkpad again and another scrap of red card, not sure of the sentiment manufacturer the packaging went a long time ago

Stars

 Good Afternoon. I have made two cards today, both of them for this week's Less is More Challenge - Stars,
The first one is a stamp by Chocolate Baroque which was stamped with Versamark and the embossed with a silver glitter embossing powder, matted onto silver mirri with a computer generated sentiment.

For the main image on second card I have used Clarity's Wired Star stamp this time I have embossed with a gold glitter embossing powder.  The smaller stars were made with a clear Kanban stamp and embossed with the same gold ep.  Not very happy with this one as the embossing powder doesn't show up very well, and it has been remade a good few times.

Bah Humbug!

Good Afternoon, my card today is another CAS type one, I am really getting into these at the moment.  It is for the Bah Humbug Challenge - Die Cuts, I have used the new Spellbinders Poinsettia set and after assembling the flower I sprayed it with Irridescent Spray and Sparkle, then stuck it onto a nestie added a piece of red satin edged organza ribbon and a computer generated greeting

Vintage Photography

Good afternoon, I made today's card a couple of months ago for my grand-daughter's 17th birthday last month.   She is into photography and has been showing an interest in vintage cameras.  All of the images for the card came from an unmounted stamp plate by Creative Expressions that a friend told me about.  I made the backing paper with distress inks and small images from the plate and coloured the ribbon as well.  It has been so long that I made the card that I can't remeber which colour I used.  All the images were stamped with Momento Sepia.  I finished the card off with Cardy Candy and some  flowers from my stash.

Another CAS Card

Good Afternoon, today's card is for this week's My Time to Craft Challenge - Quite White.  It's a very simple card using a new Papermania embossing folder, Stardream Crystal White cardstock and silver mirri.  The sentiment is stamped and embossed with silver.  It's the first time I have used this folder and am not sure about it, but it will make a perfect production line card and also won't need a large letter stamp, so it might grow on me lol

Emma and Snowman

Good Afternoon, today's card is for Sketch No73 over at Sketch and Stash.  The image is a precoloured digi from Fred She Said, backing papers are Fred She Said, Artylicious and Kanban. The ribbon is from my stash, the sentiment is computer generated.  The new element on my card is the Kanban backing paper and the neglected  the snowflake brads that I found in the bottom of a bag of Christmas stuff from a few years back. Polkadots

Well, it's that time of the week again - the Less Is More Challenge, this week Chrissie and Mandi are asking for polkodots.  I have used the Cuttlebug large dot embossing folder for the panel on my card.  The baubles are from Crafty Ann's metallic range and I have sprayed them with Crafter's Companian gold Spray and Sparkle.  Unfortunately, the spray doesn't show up very well as it's a dull, dismal day here. I tried using UTEE on the baubles to make them shine, but my Versamark pad has got too messy to get a good finish, so they ended up in the bin.

Christmas for Men

Good Morning,  my card to share today is for this weeks challenge at Bah Humbug - With Men In Mind. The image is an old unmounted one that I bought from ebay, so no idea of the make, stamped with Momento ink, the backing paper is from Artylicious Season's Greetings cd, the strips of paper are from CraftyAnn's new Crinkled paper set, the sentiment is computer generated and I finished the whole thing off with some gold Card Candy.  I know the card is for a man, but I have added a little Stickles Star Burst.

I followed Sketch124 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and as the image was stamped onto an offcut from my white scrap box and all the matting from the gold mirri scrap basket I am entering my card into Jule's Crafty Snippets Challenge - Week 41.

Silver

Good Evening, my card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Silver. This is because it is Cynthia and Geoff's Silver Wedding Anniversary.  Congratulations to you both.

As you can see I have used my beautiful stamp from Chocolate Baroque again matted onto  purple and silver card from my stash, the backing papers and flower are from CraftyAnn's metallic range and are available from her shop. I used a couple of promarkers for the flowers in Cynthia's favourite colour - purple, the leaves were punched from some oddments of silver mirri, the sentiment is computer generated and I added some crystal gems.  The pic is a bit naff, sorry.

The card is an engagement for Robert's daughter, who rang us from her holiday in Barbados the other evening to tell us that her boyfriend had asked her to marry him, and she said yes.  The wedding won't be taking place unticl 2014.

Tie A Yellow Ribbon

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for this week's Less is More Challenge -  Cocktails. I had a couple of ideas for this but decided to get out my beautiful Chocolate Baroque stamp again.  Fingers crossed that Chrissie and Mandi will be happy with my Cocktail of Flowers.  I stamped the image with Versamark and used Silver Lustre embossing power, by Cosmic Shimmer, I coloured with Promarkers, matted the image onto Papermania shimmer card and silver mirri, added a yellow ribbon and some aurora gems from my stash.  I used my Quickie Glue pen and crystal glitter on the 'bubbles'  I've just noticed that I've left the bow a bit too close to the right hand edge, can't change it now because if I try to take the topper off I will ruin the card and have to start all over again.

I will have to make another card like this with red flowers, as it's my Mum and Stepdad's Ruby Wedding Anniversary in December.

Christmas Pud.

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for this week's Bah Humbug Challenge - Good To Eat.  I have used a ready coloured image from Cuddly Buddly  and used a scap of paper left over from DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack, there were a lot of gorgeous papers in this pack, but I think it has been discontinued.  I glittered Teddy's hat and added some little die-cut gems from Kanban. The sentiment is a stamp that I have had for years.

Blue Moon

Good Afternoon,  my card to share today is for Sketch 72 over at Sketch and Stash.  The new part of my card is the image and comes from another purchase from Westpoint.  Which is the Linda Ravenscroft Shine Brightly cd from Craft Creations +.  The backing papers are from Cuddly Buddly, the central strip is paper ribbon from the cd to match the image.  I don't really have anything on my card that is neglected but I don't use these gems very often.  The flowers are from my stash.  The empty space on the bottom right of my card is waiting for personalising but I have to check with my customer to clarify the spelling of the young lady's name.
