Sisters

Hello, sorry I've been absent for so long again - vertigo playing up.  My share for today is a very simple scrapbook layout, done in Craft Artist.  The image is of my three daughters taken  on the youngest's Wedding Day back in 2000.  The background, flower, ribbon and pearl are all from a scrapbook kit by CraftyAnn - Cream Dream.  The frame is another CraftyAnn piece this is  from her metallic range, I changed the colour to match the cream flower.  The brown backing paper with the faux stitched heart is from Nitwits.

I am entering my card into two challenges
Rainbow Lady - Memories
CraftyAnnChallenge - Stitching - Real or Faux

Thank you so much for visiting.

I'm Back

Good afternoon.  I got back from my holiday last Saturday morning, but what with all the housey stuff that needed doing after leaving my OH home alone for two weeks this is the first day I have had time to have a play.

My card is for my neighbour's Great-Grandson Rylee.  Granddad is a collector of die cast lorries and Rylee has caught the bug.  I didn't have any stamps or images of lorries so I asked my good friend Ann of Crafty Ann's Digi Shop if she could draw me one.  This is the result and it is available from her shop.  I took the image into Craft Artist and played around with text so that I could personalise the lorry, then printed it and coloured with a red Promarker and some grey Spectrum Noir pens.  The backing paper is from Cuddly Buddly which I again took into Craft Artist to change the colour to match the text.  I have gone with the red and white theme because Rylee's birthday present is a red lorry. The red is much darker in real life and not pink as it appears in the pic.

As Ann drew the image at my request I think that it is only right that I should enter my card into her Challenge this week - It's A Man Thing

Many thanks for you visit

Less is More

That's it, I have just packed all of my craft stuff away and can now see my dining table lol.  I am not going away until Wednesday, but have got a lot to do in the house before I can go away, so I had to pack up today.

I have two cards to share today and they are both for this week's Less is More Challenge - Take Three Challenges.

Week2 - A Flower or a Tree;  Week 6 - Off The Edge;  Week 54 - Stripes. Stamped with Big n Juicy Hydrangea, the border is from a Dimension Fourth Art Deco stamp set, my favourite Agapanthus from Stampendous and as usual I have no idea about the sentiment stamp.

Wee12- Off Centre;  Week 34 - Sketch; Week 35  - Colour of your Eyes. The image is a free cover stamp from Craft Stamper, the sentiment is Papermania, all stamped with Momento Rich Cocoa, the brown matting is from my scrap box

The first card was a second card I made for the Stripes challenge but never got around to posting it.
As for the other 5 challenges that I have used, these were challenges I missed whilst on holiday.

I hope you like my cards and many thanks for visiting and for any comments you might wish to make.

I'm still here

Good evening everyone.  I am still here but have been busy doing other things and not had much time to blog new cards.  I have to get all of my April cards sorted because I am away next week until the middle of the month.  This is one that is needed for the 2nd of April, and it fits  Rainbow Lady's Challenge - House and Home.  The image is from Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia cd, the backing paper is Nitwits, the embossed strip is from my offcuts box and the sentiment is computer generated

Pansies

Good Morning, my card to share today is the one I gave to my Mum for Mother's Day.  The image is decoupaged and from the La Pashe CD, The Big One and is in the Labled With Love Section, the prints are designed to work with some of the Spellbinders Label Sets.  The backing paper is Cuddly Buddly, the flowers, gems and offset card all come from my stash, the corners were cut with a Cuttlebug die, and the sentiment was computer generated.  I am entering my card into this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - Spots and Dots.  The pattern on the backing paper is made up with lots of individual dots, but they don't show up very well.

Thank you so much for your visit today, and many thanks for any comments you may wish to make.  I love to read them

Less is More

Good Afternoon, it's horrible here today, torrential rain and the wind is picking up as well, just the sort of day to stay in and craft.  Trouble is the lighting is atrocious for taking photos in, even Picassa hasn't been able to improve this pic today.

My card to share today is for this week's Less is More Challenge, Week 50 - Masking.  My images are all from an unmounted plate by Chocolate Baroque, coloured with Promarkers and matted onto a scrap of dark brown card from my offcuts basket.  The sentiment is from a clear set and, as usual, I don't know who the manufacturer is.

Many thanks for stopping by today.

A Bit O' Blarney

Good Morning all, my card for today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - St Patrick's Day.  As I have no need of a St Patrick's or even Irish Themed card I played with Serif Craft Artist yesterday and made this digital piece.
I started by turning a Nitwits Kit - A Bit O' Blarney and turned it into a scrapbook kit and this is the basis of my piece.  I used some of the various filters in the programme  to make it look a bit more 'real'.

I hope you like it and many thanks for visiting today.  Please leave me a comment as I would love to know what you think of this piece

Where Have All The Years Gone!

Good Afternoon, it's a beautiful sunny day here in the Northern Isles and it's quite warm too.  My card to share today is the one I made for my eldest daughters 40th birthday today.  The image is from a Kanban Set - jasper and coloured with promarkers, the backing paper is a pale yellow polka dot that I have inked with Dried Marigold DI then overstamped with small images from the same stamp set.  The yellow cardstock came from my stash and did the flower and ribbon.  The sentiment is computer generated and the number is a Cuttlebug Alphabet.

I followed Sketch No 82  from Sketch and Stash, the new element is the stamps and neglected is the backing paper, I have had it for ages. I am also entering my card into this week's Make it Monday

Happy Birthday

Good Afternoon, sorry I've not been around for a few days again but my mojo seems to have departed and I'm struggling to get motivated about anything at the moment.   It's my eldest daughters 40th next Monday and I have got absolutely no idea about her card, which needs to be in the post by tomorrow at the latest.

I have just thrown this card together for this week's Less is More Challenge which this week is Don't Scrap It - use up some of our offcuts and snippets.  The sentiment image is from Papermania, coloured with Promarkers,  all of the cardstock, including the card itself has come from scrap boxes, the ribbon I found at the bottome of my ribbon box.

Many thanks for visiting today

Special Delivery

Good Afternoon, it a lovely sunny day here but, the wind is awful and apparentally going to get even stronger. My card to share today is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Dogs, in recognition of  Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day.  My image is a digi stamp from the new cd from Just Inlined - The Next Big Thing.  There a masses of digi stamps on this cd plus a fair bit of other goodies too.  I'm not particularly good at colouring and have always found animals the most difficult. I have used Promarkers with the fine nibs attached and just drawn lots of little thin lines all over the image with three different colours.  The backing paper is Cuddly Buddley the green and yellow card is Papermania, I stamped Happy Birthday onto the envelope, finished off with Card Candy and the sentiment is computer generated.

Birdsong

Good Afternoon, well I have had another go at a Tag for DragonsDream Tag it On this week, where the theme is from the book Birdsong.  I've not read this one, so I have just gone for the Bird.  I coloured the tag with Weathered Wood and Peeled Paint Distress Ink, the sentiment, flowers and bird are all Chocolate Baroque stamps and the group of birds is a Clarity Stamp.  I am not really sure about this, think I should have used a lighter ink for the reeds, flowers and bull rushes.  I coloured the bird with  Promarkers

Happily Ever After

Good Afternoon, sorry I've not been  around much this week, the dizzy spells have been quite bad again.  But, I finally got my ENT appointment yesterday.  The clinic was running very late, I had to wait an hour, but it was worth it.  I got to see the consultant and he diagnosed Positional Vertigo and did the Eply Maneuver three times, it worked really well and I feel better today than I have been feeling since Christmas.  I may have to go to Aberdeen  to have this done again, because the ENT people only come to the islands once every two or three months, but it will be worth it.

Any hoo, on to my card.  This is for the challenge at Less is More, which this week is to use our punches and die cuts.  I have used circle nesties and the lovely new Memory Box heart dies.  I bought these because I have been asked to make some wedding samples and I thought this heart set would be quite good for that.  The backing card is Papermania Shimmer, the sentiment is from a Woodware Clear wedding set and cut with Spellbinders Just Rite Sentiment tags.  I think this is the first card since Christmas that I have managed to make without any snags at all.

I am also entering my card into this week's Make it Monday Challenge, I was thrilled to bits that my Damsel Fly card was picked as feature  entry of the week for last week's challenge.

Thank you some much for visiting and leaving me such lovely comments, they really do mean so much

Damsel Fly

Good Afternoon, my card to share today is for my daughter's Goddaughter who is going to be 11 going on 19.  So cute would not be acceptable at all and I also left the number off!! So, I decided to go with bright and glittery, the backing paper is from a cover gift from Cardmaking and Papercraft, the corner image is another cover gift from the same mag coloured with Promarkers, the Damsel Fly is a Clarity stamp.  I stamped it twice, once onto white card, then onto sticky back acetate, and covered the back with cerise glitter from Debbi Moore, I think you can just about see the glitter in the pic. The sentiment is computer generated to which I added a shrink plastic version of the damsel fly.

I am entering my card into:
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

Many thanks for visiting today and I hope you like my card.
