Art Deco Lady

Hi folks, sorry I've been awol again.  My card today is for the challenge at The Pink Elephant this week, which requires 1 Image, 2 Die Cuts and 3 Embellishments.  My die cuts are the leaves by Marianne Creatables and a Spellbinders Label, the image is Debbie Moore from her Glitter and Glitz Magic Moments CD and my embellishments are the flowers, a brad and some gold beads, all from my stash.  The bp is from Cuddly Buddly.

I hope you like my card.  Many thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to make.

Teen Texting

Good Grief, the 1st of March, where is this year going? For Today's card I have followed Sketch92 from Sketch Saturday. The image is Teen Texting from Mo Manning, coloured with Copics. The bp is Cuddly Buddly and I couldn't find anything in my box for the extra elements of the sketch, so I took some offcuts of white and coloured them with the same colours that I used for the image. The sentiment is computer generated.

I am also entering my card into The Pink Elephant challenge which is Green this week

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to make. I hope you like my card. Beryl x

JNM Part 2

This is the first card I have made from the new Joanna Sheen/Jayne Netley-Mahew 2 cd. The image and backing paper both come from the cd and everything else comes from my stash. The card is for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant this week, which is a great sketch.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for the wonderful comments you leave.

Back again

I made this card for a forum friend's birthday and have been waiting for a challenge in which I could enter it. This week The Pink Elephant is asking for Ribbon so my card fits the bill. The image is another stamp from the Wild Meadow unmounted plate by Elusive Images. Once again I used my Tombow Pens directly on the stamp, the edging was done using the Field of Sky stamp from Stamp Addicts. The bp is a Cuddly Buddly download - and as you can see it matches this stamp perfectly. Everything else, ribbon, gold beads and mirror card came from my stash. I finished the card with a simple peel off greeting on a nestie tag.
Thank you very much for visiting and for the wonderful comments you leave.

4 Challenges

For my card today I have followed the sketch 88 over at Friday Sketchers. The image is from Prairie Fairy coloured with Copics, I used Sakura clear glitter pen for my fairy's wings. The bp is from Cuddly Buddly and Funky Fairys, the other cardstock, ribbon and brads all come from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated. My card also fills the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant Challenge - All about Pink; My Time to Craft - Fairy Folk; Cute Card Thursday - Spots and Dots

Thank you for taking the time to visit and leaving such lovely comments.

Roses

Today's card is for two challenges again. I have followed Sketch26 over at Sketch and Stash and this is a birthday card which is what the DT from The Pink Elephant have asked for. The image is another of Joanna Sheen's Wildflowers - the roses and once again watercoloured with my Lyras. The bp is from Funky Fairys, it doesn't show up very well but it is in shades of green. When it came to the flower needed for the sketch I was having real problems in finding a flower to match. I then remembered that my youngest daughter gave me a box filled with crafting goodies for my Christmas pressie, and this rose came from there. Apparently, while Joanna was picking up some brads and ribbons and stuff my SIL wandered around and picked up some packs of embellies - the guy did good as this flower is perfect for the card both in colour and type. The greeting was computer generated and everything else came from my stash.

Thank you so much for visiting and for all the lovely comments you have been leaving me.

Santa's on his way

Hi, my card is for two challenges. I have followed Sketch 24 over at Sketch and Stash, the old is the embellies on the side, they were brads from a selection box I got last year, and the strings of gold pearls are the new. The other challenge is The Pink Elephant which is 'Colour me Wonderful' translated as anything coloured with your favourite medium. My image is from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Selection and I have coloured using my Copics just got these a couple of months ago and am loving them. I did make Santa's sack a bit too dark, so scibbled randomly over it with the blending pen to try and give it a used look, not sure if it shows up very well though. Finished it off with a peel off greeting.
The backing paper is Funky Fairys, everything else came from my craft box. Many thanks for visiting my wee space on the web, especially as I am not posting as often as I should.

Best Friends

Hi, today's card is for The Pink Elephant Challenge - Plaid, No Ribbon and any number of Brads.
The image is Messy Rabbit from Joanna Sheen coloured with my Lyras and mounted onto nesties. The snowflakes are brads and I have used brads to attach the sentiment which is computer generated and stuck onto a nestie tag. The bp is from Daisy and Dandelion's Christmas pad. The cardstock is Coredinations and I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Frosty the Snowman

Todays card is for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant, this week it's a brilliant sketch. The image is 'Frosty' from Judikins and coloured with Copics, the bp is from last years DCWV Glitter Stack and the blue card is Cordinations. The snow flakes were cut with a Cuttlebug Die out of some old glitter paper that I had in my craft box. I'm afraid you will have to bear with me over the quality of the pic, as I said OH has our camera. I did try to scan this to see if I could get a clearer image, but the blues didn't look co-ordinated on the scan so I went back to faffing around with my camera phone.

Thank you for visiting my blog and if you would like to, please leave me a comment. They really make my day. Beryl x

Pretty Lady

I am posting early today because I am going to Aberdeen on the overnight ferry for a couple of days - back on Friday Morning. It's very windy at the moment, and I am hoping that it's not strong enough to cancel the sailing, but it will be bumpy. Got my book, mp3 player, Nintendo ds and travel sickness pills, so it won't be a problem.
Onto today's card which is hopefully for two challenges: Rainbow Lady's Challenge "The Rose" and The Pink Elephant which is a colour challenge this week, Red, Yellow, Black and White. I am hoping that the golden colour on the backing paper will qualify as yellow. The image and backing paper is from The ArtDeco cd from Card Creations+, I love this cd. I have added a spray of red roses and a red ribbon. Everything is mounted onto matt gold card and black, I hope you like my card and thank you so much for dropping by.

A second post for today

Looks like I'm finding my missing mojo, so here is a second post for today. Again I have stuck with a Christmas theme, this is for The Pink Elephant Challenge which is a sketch. I like the sketch challenges because I do have problems with layouts occasionally. I have unearthed Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit, from Joanna Sheen, for this card. He is coloured with watercolour pencils and matted onto dark red card and silver mirri. I have used the same card for matting the bp and the crossway's strip required by the sketch. The bp is another one left from last year, punched silver glitter snowflakes and a foiled sentiment from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Paper Pack complete the card. Thank you very much for visiting and I appreciate any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

2 in 1

I have made this card to fit two challengs again. Firstly for SketchandStash No.7 and secondly for The Pink Elephant which is a recipe. You have to use texture, stamping and punching. I put the dark brown card through my Cuttlebut Swiss Dots folder. The squares are cut from a piece of Encaustic Art that I made a while ago. The stamp is one from an Elusive Images Plate, Butterfly Daisy Collage. It is the first time I have used this particular stamp from the sheet. I stippled some inks onto glossy card and then sealed it with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine and when dry I stamped the butterfly with a Versamagic Chalk Inkpad called Java. I finally sprayed the finished piece with Crafter's Companion Gold Spray and Sparkle, the pic doesn't really show the sparkle. I love these new sprays. I used a corner rounder punch on all the corners. Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment. Beryl x

Fingers Crossed

I have got my fingers crossed because I am hoping this card will qualify for four challenges. It definitely fits the bill for Sketch Saturday No.45 and for Cute Card Thursday Citrus Colours. The other two challenges are for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and The Pink Elephant Challenge and they both require an Easter Card, so I am hoping they will accept my offering. I have stamped the hedgies in Versafine Onyx and coloured in using my Promarkers. The bp is Papermania and the orange card, gold card, the ribbon, the flower and gems all came from my stash. The sentiment I made on my computer. Thank you for visiting my blog today and if you would like to leave a comment please do, as I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

Two Challenges

Today's card is for two challenges the first one is a Sketch for The Pink Elephant Challenge and the second is for Cute Card Thursday and it is 'Family Affair', which is to make a card for any family member. I have used Papermania cardstock which I have embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and the flowers and border are punched out of a contrasting Papermania Card. The Image is a Cute Daisy May one which I have coloured with my Promarkers. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting and for all of the wonderful comments you leave. Beryl x

3 in 1

Well I have finally managed to get around to entering some challenges again. My card is for three challenges: 1. Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which is for a Birthday Card as Cynthia's Challenge is one year old; 2. Cute Daisy May Challenge which is to use Buttons and 3. The Pink Elephant Challenge which also calls for Buttons. I have used one of the Cute Daisy May images, which are available as a download, coloured with Promarkers. The bp came from a craft mag, the lemon card is from Papermania, and the buttons came from my craft box. Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x
