Christmas Card No.6

Today's card fulfills three challenges: Bah Humbug Challenge No6 - Snowmen, Dare U to DigiStamp - Use your Punches! and Sketch and Stash No.29

The image is new from DigiStampBoutique, coloured with Copics with some Stickles for sparkle, bp is Fred She Said, Sentiment is Daisy and Dandelion. Everything else comes from my stash. The punch is my neglected item, since getting my Cuttlebug my poor little snowflake punch was relagated to the back of a drawer.

Back again

I made this card for a forum friend's birthday and have been waiting for a challenge in which I could enter it. This week The Pink Elephant is asking for Ribbon so my card fits the bill. The image is another stamp from the Wild Meadow unmounted plate by Elusive Images. Once again I used my Tombow Pens directly on the stamp, the edging was done using the Field of Sky stamp from Stamp Addicts. The bp is a Cuddly Buddly download - and as you can see it matches this stamp perfectly. Everything else, ribbon, gold beads and mirror card came from my stash. I finished the card with a simple peel off greeting on a nestie tag.

Love

There are loads of Valentine's challenges out there this week, which is a bit of a shame for me, cos I only have one ordered and don't send them myself. So, I was quite happy to see that Ooh-la-la-Creations are asking for 'Love', this can be any kind of love, so my Wedding Card will hopefully fit the bill. The image is from Elusive Images stamped and embossed onto Opal Stardream card and then 3d'd onto nesties. The bp is from Sharon Duncan's latest Embossibilities cd printed onto Stardream paper. The leaves are punched and the flower, ribbon and flower gems come from my craft box. I sprayed the topper and the flower with Crafter's Companion gold glitter spray to give them a bit of oomph. The sentiments were computer generated and printed onto the Opal Stardream card and heat embossed with detail gold ep.

I think I can also enter my card into Crafty Ann's Metal Challenge this week. I have used Gold Mirror Card, Gold Embossing Powder and Gold Glitter Spray

Thanks for taking the time to visit and for leaving such great comments, which I love

In the Pink... again

I managed to make another pink card. I have used Sketch89 from Sketch Saturday. The bp are Cuddly Buddly, I got the stamps from eBay ages ago and have no idea who made them as they were just being sold as unmouted stamps. The ribbon, flower and peel off corners come from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated and the number 9 is from a Cuttlebug alphabet I stamped the images onto a paler version of the bp and coloured the ribbon and flower with the same ink pad.

By the skin of my teeth

I've just made it, Bah Humbug challenge for Baubles ends today at 12 noon! For my card I have used a freebee sheet from Jak of Crafters Kitchen. I downloaded it before Christmas and never got around to using it. I have sprayed the baubles with Crafters Companion Spray and Shine, and the cuttlebugged baubles have been dusted with Lime Frost Cosmic Shimmer, but it doesn't show up in the picture.

Art Deco Lady

I've finally managed to make another card and I am hoping that Cynthia will allow it as an entry into Rainbow Lady's Challenge with is Fur and/or Feathers. It's not very obvious, but I reckon my Debbie Moore Art Deco lady has feathers in her headress. I decided to make an off centre gate fold for a change. The papers are from Cuddly Buddly, which I have purchased after seeing them on my friend Irene's Blog (thank you Irene), if you haven't seen any of her work do take a look, it's well worth a visit. The roses and mirror card are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Thank you for visiting today.

I am sorry the picture has got a shadow on it, think it's me, have had problems getting it as the light has been so bad this last couple of days. The image is from Charmed Cards - Charming Christmas. I have used the ready coloured image and used stickles on her wings and around her outfit. The paper is from a Daisy and Dandelion pack and everything else comes from my stash.

Thank you for visiting and for leaving me such lovely comments, they really make my day.

New Home

Yippee the wind has died down, still getting showers but nowhere near as bad as yeaterday. On to today's card. My neighbour asked me to make a new home card for her grand-daughter and family who have finally been rehoused from a 3rd floor flat to a proper house. They have two young children so life is going to be so much easier for them. The image is from the Joanna Sheen/Pamela West CD. I have not used the full image just cut a square out of it. The bp is from Funky Fairys and everything else is from my stash.

I am entering this card into two challenges today, Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog which is Embossing, I have embossed the offset card with a Cuttlebug Folder. The second challenge is Sketch Saturday's Sketch No.86, I have tweaked it slightly as my flowers are all the same size.

Thank you so much for visiting today.

Wild, Wet and Windy

It's horrible here today wild, wet and windy, the wind is so strong the house is moving and it has broken our satellite dish. Not a big problem for me, but it is for OH and he is off this weekend.
On to today's card. This one is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week, which is ' Tea Time'. I didn't think I would manage it until I remembered a download I got from e-bay ages ago. The download is called Time for Tea and was designed by a lady called Marie Johnstone. It is useful for both male and female cards, the male section has clocks and things. I also have a few of Marie's cd's but the link to her website is no longer working so I think she must have given up. Which is a shame because she did some really lovely images and papers. It is so long since I used any of Marie's creations that I had to search back on her cd's to find how to make up the oval teabag papers, I had forgotten. The bp, tag and teabags all came from the download, everything else from my stash.

Christmas Card No.2

Well, so far so good, this is my card for the 2nd Bah Humbug! Challenge, which asks for New or Nearly New Stash. The new component on my card is the image. I actually bought this gorgeous Mo Manning Penquin with Gift image before last Christmas and even coloured it in with my Copics, but never got around to using it. I have also followed Sketch 85 from Friday Sketchers. The bp is DCWV, sentiment computer generated and stuck onto a nestie ribbon slider, nestie circles with a cuttlebugged snowflake finishes off my card.

Roses

Today's card is for two challenges again. I have followed Sketch26 over at Sketch and Stash and this is a birthday card which is what the DT from The Pink Elephant have asked for. The image is another of Joanna Sheen's Wildflowers - the roses and once again watercoloured with my Lyras. The bp is from Funky Fairys, it doesn't show up very well but it is in shades of green. When it came to the flower needed for the sketch I was having real problems in finding a flower to match. I then remembered that my youngest daughter gave me a box filled with crafting goodies for my Christmas pressie, and this rose came from there. Apparently, while Joanna was picking up some brads and ribbons and stuff my SIL wandered around and picked up some packs of embellies - the guy did good as this flower is perfect for the card both in colour and type. The greeting was computer generated and everything else came from my stash.

Thank you so much for visiting and for all the lovely comments you have been leaving me.

Poppies

For my card today I have followed the sketch over at Papertake Weekly. The image is Poppies from the Joanna Sheen's Wildflowers Collection. I stamped onto watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black and coloured in with my Lyra watercolours. The cardstock and papers all come from my stash. I have made a resolution to use up some of the masses of papers I have, this particular one has been in my box for well over three years (I think). The sentiment was computer generated and I added a couple of butterfly gems.
I am entering my card into three challenges. Papertake Weekly - Sketch.
Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog - New and Cute Card Thursday which is also New. The something new on my card is the stamp, I treated myself to the set of six wildflowers as my Christmas Pressie to myself.
I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting and leaving me such wonderful comments.

Recycling

Right, Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is to 'recycle' and the new challenge blog Bah Humbug's first challenge is to use something from a shop bought Christmas Card that you have received to make a Christmas Card for 2010. I found the Bah Humbug brief a bit difficult because only two of the cards I received this year had anything stuck on them that I could unstick. So, it was a case of finding a picture that could be cut out, either a single image or the complete pic and this is what I ended up with. The front cover of the card had half the image in a circle and the full image on the inside so I used my circle nesties and cut out both images and I now have a 3d toppern not that it shows up very well. The bp is from Artylicious, everything else is from my stash. The ribbon and peel off greeting were coloured with a Copic Marker. I hope you like my card and thanks for visiting. Beryl x

Fist Challenge of the year.

Well I have finally managed to make a card that fits a challenge. The card is for the challenge over at My Time To Craft which is Blue and Brown. The image and backing paper comes from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD. On CD 2 there is this wealth of brilliant animal pictures and I think they make great cards for men. There was a frame around the image but I cut it off and mounted onto blue and brown card from my craft box. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting my blog, especially as I have been such a bad blogger for quite a while now. I am getting a new laptop so I should be able to blog hop in the evenings again, while OH is on the pc. I haven't been doing so as my old laptop is soooo slow I get frustrated with it and eventually give up. Beryl x
