Good Evening, my card today is for two challenges: My Time To Craft - Very Funny and Papertake Weekly - a sketch. The image is from a set of stamps I bought whilst on holiday, think they are called Born to Shop and for the life of me I cannot remember the maker because I threw all the packaging away when I came home. I have coloured with Copics, the bp is CuddlyBuddly the ribbon and cs are from my stash.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for stopping by.

Less is More
Good Afternoon, my card today is for this week's Less is More Challenge - pick a square. It has taken me longer this morning to pick a stamp that I liked than it has to make the card. Dead simple, Penny Black image coloured with Copics, sentiment I think is from a Papermania set and the two coloured matts are both from Papermania'sw new cs range.
I hope you like my card, and thanks you for visiting.

Some Enchanted Evening
Good Morning, the sun is shining here in the Northern Isles this morning, there is a bit of cloud about but nothing looking too threatening atm. My card this morning is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge, which this week is another song title Some Enchanted Evening. My image is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams cd, there really are some stunning images on this cd. The bp is from the same cd and the coloured accent paper is Cuddly Buddly, the ribbon is from my stash, coloured to match with a Promarker. I would have preferred satin ribbon but I am completely out of white at the moment. The butterfly is a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder, with some aurora sparkle gems for the body, cut from a piece of card painted with two colours of Tesco cheap shimmer paint.
Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make. They really make my day.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Good Evening, I am not happy with my card today, it appears to be a bit insipid. I went around it the wrong way and coloured the image first and then had real probs trying to get the backing papers to co-ordinate properly, and I think I should have used much bolder colours. I am not a natural when it comes to art, and I struggle with picking colours for these fantasy type images. I followed Sketch102 over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, but, I don't think I have nailed it properly. Onto the details: the image is a Sweet Pea stamp by Ching-Chou Kuik and I have coloured with Promarkers and Copics, I masked the image and created the background with distress inks and Judikins colour dusters, the backing papers are from CuddlyBuddly and everything else comes from my stash.
As the colours are quite pale I think I can enter into this week's Papertake Weekly challenge which is Pale, Pretty Pastels.
Many thanks for visiting today

Sing Little Birdie
Good Afternoon. I have fallen lucky today because one of the cards I made for my 2 grand-daughters 9th birthdays last week fits two challenges., I couldn't put the cards on my blog before as my daughters tend to drop into my blog from time to time. The image is a Robyn's Fetish one which I bought from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps, coloured with Promarkers, the paper is from a DCWV 12x12 stack that I have had for ages, the sentiment is computer generated and everything else comes from my stash.
The two challenges are: My Time To Craft - Use a Die Cut - the number 9 was cut with a Cuttlebug Alphabet Die,
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Add Some Texture - the flower and the Cuttlebugged offset card.
Thank you so much for visiting.

An Oriental Card
Good Evening, today's card is for the challenge at CACB which this fortnight is Oriental. The image is a Cherry Blossom Branch, a digi stamp from CraftyAnn, coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and Copics embellished with a couple of silver coloured butterfly brads, from my stash. The bp is from Crafter's Companion Oriental CD, the contrast card is Papermania and the card is finished off with Craftworks Card Candy, coloured with a Promarker, and a computer generated sentiment.
I am also entering my card into the CD Sunday Challenge which this week is Under the Weather and like some of the DT I have made my card a general Get Well Card.
Thank you so much for visiting and for the wonderful comments that you have been leaving me, I really appreciate them.

A second butterfly card
Good Afternoon, I woke up this morning with an idea for another Less is More card, so I have decided to put a second card into this weeks challenge of Butterflies. It's a very simple card as you can see, and again I have used the Cuttlebug die and a different embossing folder, but this time I have used parchment, putting adhesive silver pearls for the body. The sentiment is one I found in one of my stamp boxes, embossed with detail white embossing powder.

Less is More
Good Evening, rather late tonight, it's my last night to be able to craft late into the evening as Robert returns from his golfing holiday tomorrow afternoon. It will be nice to see him, but I will soooo miss being able to get up in the morning an not find a messy kitchen and living room lol. Honestly, he makes more mess than my three daughter did, when they were small, and that is saying something :) Onto my card, it is for this week's Less is More Challenge which is Butterflies. I bought some cheap shimmery paint in Tesco recently and have been playing this afternoon. The butterfly is a Cuttlebug die, cut from a piece of card that I had brayered with two colours of the paint, and then put through the matching embossing folder. The backing card was another piece brayered with just one colour. The panel was stamped using an Anita's background stamp, stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Purple and the sentiment is from a Woodware Clear Magic set, stamped with the same inkpad. Unfortunately, the colours don't look as if they match in the pic but they certainly do IRL, probably due to the lighting. The top of the butterfly matches the backing card and the bottom of the butterfly matches the ink pad.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today.

Annie and Friends
Good Evening, the rain has finally stopped and we have a lovely sunny evening, but it's blowing a hooley out there. For my card today I have followed the sketch at MAWTT which was designed by Hazel. The image is Annie and Friends from CuddlyBuddly and has been coloured with Promarkers, the bp is also from CuddlyBuddly everything else comes from my stash. The card is for my neighbour's birthday as she is nuts about teddy bears - she has a collection of over 300 teddies in some shape or form.
I am also entering my card into Rainbow Lady's Challenge which this week is - With a Flourish.

Snowflakes
Good evening, my card today is for the challenge over at Bah Humbug and this week the ladies are asking for Snowflakes. The image is a stamp that I love and it comes out every year, it's an old Elusive Images one that I have had quite a long time. The bp is from Season's Greetings an Artylicious cd, the ribbon is left over from the wedding stationery I made earlier in the year and the snowflakes are from a Cuttlebug die.
I am also entering my card into the challenge at CD Sunday, which gives us a choice of Die Cutting/Yeehaw this week.
I hope you like my card and many thanks very much for stopping by today.

Less is More
Good Evening, I didn't think I was going to make it with my Less is More card today. I had one idea first thing this morning and then, after checking my card pics, changed my mind. I spent the entire day trying to make the card and got through at least 20 pieces of card. Luckily I wasn't using my best pearlised cardstock. I was trying to make the card I have finished up with, but apart from messing up the stamping I just couldn't get the colouring right. I was trying to brayer the background with one of my Kaliedacolor inkpads which I have used before with this image, of course before it was always on glossy card because I made it as a topper and the effect was really quite vibrant. The brayering just wasn't working on matt card, I even tried spraying the image with Spray and Shine, but that didn't work either. I finally gave up, and decided I was working in a complete muddle so did a complete tidy up, which took a lot longer than I expected. After having something to eat I decided to have another go and I everything worked the way I wanted it to, but instead of brayering I tapped the ink pad onto my craft mat and put a colour wash onto the image instead. I am still not completely happy with the result, think I should have used a different inkpad. I made the whole thing in just under half an hour. Should have given up earlier and saved some cardstock lol
Anyhoo, the stamps used were the Judikins postage stamp and the India cube, stamped with Versacolour black and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is from Joanna Sheen's new Wordy Stamps, think it's No.4, stamped and embossed the same as the main image.
Thank you so much for visiting.

Drink Responsibly
Good Evening, well Blogger seems to be back to normal. Today's card is for the challenge at Digis With Attitude which this week is a sketch. The image is one I bought a couple of days ago from Stitchy Bear, just fell in love with it. I have coloured with Promarkers, the pink bp is Cuddly Buddly and the dark paper that looks brown, but is actually purple is from a Papermania 12 x 12 pad that I bought a good three years ago and has been lanquishing in a cupboard all lonely and forgotten. I sprayed the flowers with Crafter's Companion silver sparkle spray and come from my stash as do the pearls. I haven't put a sentiment on the card yet because I don't know what I am going to use it for yet.

Bah Humbug!
Good Afternoon from a gloriously sunny Shetland, it was raining this morning, but now there isn't a cloud in the sky. Hopefully, I am going to sit outside with my book for an hour after I have finished this post. The ladies of Humbug Hall have asked us all to Go Green this week - Recycling or Shades of Green. I have managed a bit of both a fair bit of green and the buttons are recycled from my good neighbour's fabulous button box. She has been recycling buttons since well before recycling was even though of. The ribbon is also recycled, sorry the buttons don't show up very well in the pic. I have also followed this week's sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday
The image is a Judikins stamp, the bp is from an old Papermania Christmas pad, the coloured cs is from my scraps box, the flower is a Marianne Creatable Poinsettia and the sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for your visit and the lovely comments you have been leaving me.

Happy Birthday
Back again for a late second post today, this is a birthday card requested by a friend, it's a cd image again, because this is the style of card she likes. The image is from Debbi Moore's Regency collection, the bp I think came from another of her cd's but am not completely sure as I found it in my scrap box. The flowers were sprayed with gold glitter spray, the golden pearls were courtesy of C+C in the tool carousel they were selling their 8th birthday celebrations. The sentiment is computer generated. Good Afternoon, my card today is for the challenge over at Less is More which is White on White. I have used white linen finish card, Cuttlebug Daisy embossing folder, Marianne frame and butterfly, the sentiment printed directly from the pc and three crystal gems from my stash. Although I have have had the butterfly for over a year and the frame for a couple of months this is the first time they have been used, sound familiar to anyone lol.
I hope you are all having a good Sunday, I am off with my laptop to sit in front of the tele to watch Fiddler on the Roof and do a bit of blogging.

Back again.
Well, that's my holiday over and I am getting back to normal (ish!) I waved Robert off yesterday morning, he's off to the other side of the world to hit little white golf balls around for a couple of weeks. So now I can play whenever I like. My card is for my best friend's Wedding Anniversary, which is tomorrow: I had completely forgotten, at least I can hand deliver it. So it was Debbi Moore to the rescue, the image is from her Venetian CD and the bp is from one of her ArtDeco cd's. I sprayed the flowers with Crafter's Companioan Silver Spray, the flower centres are brads from my stash, the leaves are punched, the ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Less is More
Good Evening, my card to share today is for the Less is More Challenge which asks for Acetate. My butterfly was printed from a Crafter's Companion Oriental cd, onto photo paper and also onto acetate and then double mounted. I have used black pearls on the body of the butterfly, but they don't show up very clearly in the pic, the swirl is from a Creative Expressions unmounted sheet. I have absolutely no idea where the sentiment stamp came from. Reading it again now, I've decided it doesn't really go with the image, but it was a very, very quick card as I am off on holiday early on Wednesday and I wanted to enter this week's challenge, especially as I have missed the last two cos I wasn't very well.

My image was coloured with a combination of Promarkers and Copics. I will be using one of the other stamps from this set for Jack's twin brother Lewis. Out of my comfort zone
Good Morning, As I was up and showered and dressed before 7.30 this morning, for the second time this week (unheard of normally, my alarm doesn't even go off until 8.30!) I decided to have a play. After seeing Frankie's tag for her TIO challenge - Dreaming Haute Couture I thought I would have a go. I started off by colouring the tag with Silkies -Tuscan Satin, Pearl Satin and a very little amount of Bronze Brocade I bought these early last year and this is the first time I have actually used them. I found out an old set of Art Deco unmounted stamps and overstamped the background with scent bottles and handbags, with DI Tea Dye, I also stamped 'Dream a little Dream' randomly. The main image is coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto some brown cs. I've had these stamps for ages and cannot remember the manufacturer. I added the feather and a couple of hatpins. I finished off with the flower which was white, I swiped it with Versamark and then dusted it with some mica powder to tone in with the card.
I am also entering my tag into My Time to Craft - Ladies Day

Evergreen
Good Evening, my card today is for Sketch57 over at Sketch and Stash. The image comes from Debbi Moore's Evergreen CD which came free with her new magazine. The bp comes from Debbi's Glitter and Glitz cd, the gems, ribbon and roses come from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.
I hope my card will also be acceptable for the CD Sunday Challenge which is a colour challenge of Yellow, Brown and Blue. All the colours are there on my card, but there is also a lot of white. The roses were white until I coloured them with a Copic, because I didn't have any yellow ones.
Thanks for your visit.

Springtime
Good Evening, my card today is for the challenge at CACB which is an either/or choice of a Sketch/Spring or you can do both, which I have done. The image is Primroses from Joanna Sheen's Meadow Flowers Stamps, and following on from that article in Cardmaking and Papercraft, I unearthed my Lyras and watercoloured. The bps are from CraftyAnn's Digi Shop, the yellow cuttlebugged piece is from my stash as are the gems. The sentiment is computer generated. Sorry the pic's a bit light again.
I am also entering my card into the challenge at Crafty Creations - Mother's Day
Thanks for visiting

A flower for you
Good Evening, as I managed to get this card finished this afternoon, I decided to do a second post. This one is for this week's challenge at Less is More - A One Layer Card - Off the Edge. I have been meaning to take part in this new challenge blog since it first started, but other commitments have got in the way and I have never managed to get a card made. The quote is a Clarity stamp which I have had since last year, but never used. Whilst searching for just the right flower stamp I discovered this one, which is part of a clear set by Hero Arts, not only have I never used this set before, I can't even remember when and where I bought it and it was still unopened!!!..........am I the only one? lol
I did the stamping with Momento Tuxedo Black and coloured the flower with Copics. I hope you like my card and thank you very much for stopping by,

Bah Humbug
Good Afternoon, my card today is for the Bah Humbug Challenge this week, which is Apetures, as soon as I saw the topic I knew exactly what I was going to do. I haven't done any Iris Folding in years and had forgotten how fiddley it can be, the air was a bit blue last night as I was making this card in front of the tele. All of the paper for the folding came from my stash, the stamp is one of the first Christmas stamps I bought when I started cardmaking about 8 years ago, and it comes out every year.
Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make. They are all appreciated very much.

Make a wish
Good Afternoon, I thought that the card I was sharing with you today was the latest sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, the one I had tried to make earlier in the week and made a complete mess of, I have just been to post it onto the Challenge site and discovered I have followed the wrong sketch..... doh! Senior moment or what. The image is a digi stamp by Lilyboo which I bought from CuddlyBuddly. I was reading my Papercraft and Cardmaking yesterday afternoon and there was an article about colouring in. How that since we have all discovered Copics and Promarkers we tend to forget what we used to use. This got me thinking and for a change I got out my Derwent Soft Colour Pencils for this image, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The bp is from a freebee pad with the same mag a few months back. I had a disaser with the bottom of the easel and lost the matching bp and didn't have any more. So I had to compromise using the two colours of cs, I think it has turned out reasonably well.
I can still enter my card into the challenge at The Crafty Purple Frog - Fly away with us.and Kaboodle Doodles - Go Green. I will maybe try again with Sweet Sketch Wednesday before the closing date, but then again maybe not lol!
Many thanks for visiting and I hope you like my card

A Man Card
Good Afternoon, my card to share with you today is a man card, which fits two challenges. Ooh La La and MAWTT are both asking for male themed cards. The image has been compiled with a few Stampscapes stamps and coloured with distress inks and ink dusters. Can't tell what colours because it was a piece I did months ago and found again this morning. The papers are all from the CuddlyBuddly Portfolio range. The colours are supposed to be shades of denim, but they look grey in the pic. All my pics lately seem to be a bit on the pale side, the camera on my new phone isn't as good as the last one, will have to do a bit more editing!
I finished the card off with some card candy and computer generated sentiment.
Thanks for taking a look

Art Deco Lady
Good Evening, my card to share with you is for a customer who requested the wording for the front of the card which limited me to a certain extent. The image is from Card Creations+ Art Deco cd matted onto black and then matt silver card with matching bp. The flowers are from my stash, the leaves punched. I have added a few gems to the bp and onto the hat so that I could enter my card into the My Time To Craft Challenge which this week is Jewel.
Thank you for stopping by today and for the comments you leave; they are really appreciated.

Back Again
Good Evening, I had a great weekend with my middle daughter and family. On Saturday we went to Glasgow to the SECC spent quite a few pennies mostly on stamps and reuseables like dst and glue. Then on Sunday before catching the overnight ferry I called into Hobbycraft in Aberdeen and they had a brilliant offer on a floor standing craft lamp, £60 off! so, as it was only £40 I bought it.
Onto my card. This is for the Bah Humbug Challenge which asks for embossing this week. The frame embossing is a Cuttlebug folder matted onto gold mirri and the paper strip came from a pack of handmade paper that I got from my local craft shop. I am also entering my card into the challenge at CHNC which also asks for embossing this week.
Many thanks for stopping by.

Oops! Just realised that I didn't put a sentiment on the card.

A Wee Jaunt
That's me off for the weekend to Aberdeen to see my middle daughter and her family. We are taking in a side trip to the SECC is Glasgow for the HobbyCrafts event, a bit of retail therapy on the cards methinks. XShould be a fairly good crossing as the weather here is gorgeous today. Back on Monday morning

Another card for Kayla
Good Evening, well here is another card for my purple loving Grand-daughter, this is from her brother and sister. The layout is Sketch No.56 over at Sketch and Stash. The new elements on my card are the backing paper from CuddlyBuddly and the dark card which is from the new Papermania Capsule range. The neglected is the image, I bought it early last year from Pollycraft and this is the first time I have used it. The image is coloured with Promarkers, the flowers and buttons come from my stash, the letters which make up Kayla and the #5 have all been cut with a Cuttlebug Alphabet Die set. When I was making the card I quite liked the way I had put on the letters, but now I am not sure - Kayla might not get this version lol.
I am also entering my card into the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes with the added option of adding something Old or not used before
Thank you so much for stopping by and for the lovely comments you have been leaving me.
